This book contains ideas from A to Z but will only work if you can find the fabric that it is made from. I did an internet search and it took me four tries before I could find the fabric and then only in flannel. The cotton type of fabric was no longer available. Even when I went to South Seas Imports, the manufacturer that prints the fabric, they didn't have it. Since the artist lives "just a hoot and a holler" down the road from me, I was tempted to go over and ask her where the fabric was selling. Since the book was published in 2005, I guess that is why I can no longer find the fabric.
This book has great ideas so maybe I can find a different fabric that will work in place of Ms. Wecker-Frisch's fabric. If not, then I could make the quilt without the added fabric pictures from her fabric. The bibs and burb cloths can be made from any baby fabric. Crib Bumpers, Diaper Stacker, Framed Friends (the list goes through the alphabet) are just a few that can be done in other fabric. The Invitation and Night Light are two projects that will only work with her fabric. The ornaments are another project that needs this fabric.
The ideas are great and, of course, there are 26 of them. The written instructions are straightforward and don't have a lot of graphics in them but enough when they are needed to explain the written words. The color photos of the finished items are well done.
All in all, this is a great book for baby. I sure wish I could find the cotton fabric.
