- LendMe LendMe™ Learn More
When Zach McKnight, an irresistible oil rig worker with a thick-as-honey Texan drawl, first pokes into the secrets surrounding the mysterious Maddie Wells, he has no idea that the chance encounter will change his life forever. Maddie Wells is on the run with Jesse, the infant son of her murdered sister. The boy’s father isn't far behind. He wants his son and is willing to kill to get him. Zach is intrigued from the first moment he sees the dark haired beauty in a hotel, but getting his hard working hands on her delectable body is more easily dreamt than achieved. He gets shot for his trouble, by Maddie no less, and sucked into the web of lies and fear that are her constant companions.

## Get to the point. Too wordy.
A nice long book. Has been a reread. Good story line.
Reviewed by Patti Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book This is definitely a book I will be recommending. A Knight in Cowboy Boots combines many of the elements I love in one great book; great characters, some angst, drama, excitement, surprises, internal struggles and hot love scenes. The main characters are Zach who is definitely a sexy knight with a southern drawl and a soft heart who could come to my rescue any time and Maddie who is a wonderful combination of a woman of strength, determination, resourcefulness, love and passion. The other supporting characters in the book are also very well developed, I can’t wait to read their stories and see them again in future tales. This was one of those books that I started, then just kept reading very late into the night until I couldn’t stay awake anymore and then finished it in the morning with my coffee. I couldn’t wait to get to the end and then I was upset it was over. Suzie Quint is a new author for me and that is something I always find exciting because it leads you to find even more wonderful surprises by the new author or leads to disappointment and frustration. After reading this book, I’ve already started the process of acquiring more of her work!
