dressmaking accounts from the 18th to the early 19th century, many handwritten, along with etchings of the dresses, hats and most extraordinarily, colored swatches of the fabrics used. Beautifully printed on thick matte paper. Lower corner has a slight bump causing a near-crease. Covers with a perfect satiny finish and fresh bright gilt lettering and Thames & Hudson whales. Corners gently bumped. Glossy bright jacket with neatly folded edges for a clean-lined appearance. Back lower edge has a few pleats and a small closed corner tear.
