Perfect for readers of Madeline Hunter, Lisa Kleypas, and Sabrina Jeffries, the Rebellious Brides series continues with a sizzling tale of forbidden love between a socialite and a scholar—who might just be an infamous spy.
Lady Elinor Dunsmore made the mistake of falling for her older brother’s best friend, who vanished after a night of unbridled passion. Six years and a lifetime later, their eyes meet across a Paris salon. Her friends and family believe she’s dead, but Elle is very much alive. She’s now associated with a ruthless general, who wants her to seduce the man who broke her heart in order to learn his deepest secrets. Is Will a mild-mannered scholar—or the notorious agent they call The Razor?
The bastard son of an earl and an actress, Will Naismith always knew he was an unsuitable match for Elle Dunsmore, no matter how powerfully he ached for her. And yet he almost allowed his desires to spoil her glittering future. After the agony caused by Elle’s supposed death, Will has devoted himself to the Crown, but his entire life has been leading up to this unexpected reunion. As much as he still wants her, though, he must not succumb to lust once again. For his mission is delicate—and Elle is delectably dangerous.

The past comes back to life and now Will needs to figure out how and why while keeping himself safe. Elle is willing to do what it takes to see her daughter again, even spend time with the enemy. Trust is hard to come by between these two, and misunderstandings arise to push them apart. I enjoyed this story, the second in a series. I recommend this story and look firward to more from Diana Quincy. I received a copy of this story through Netgalley.

I was given a gifted copy by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Elinor has always been in love with his brother’s best friend Will and she tells him on her eighteenth birthday night. As a result of her confession and an intake of too much champagne, they make love in the garden. Will asks her to marry him but she refuses because she thinks the proposal is just a matter of duty. Ellinor marries a French man and word reaches England about her death when giving birth to a child. Will will never forget her as she is the love of his life. When Will sees her in a party after six years mourning for her, he can’t believe his eyes. This is the second book I read from this author and I have to say that I’m glad I asked for it as it is much better than the first one. Although it still has some situations where Will uses a no very gentlemanly way to speak to Elle, the mysteries, the intrigue and the secrets are more catching than the ones in Spy Fall. I couldn’t stop reading to know the end of Elle and Will’s adventures.

When Lady Elinor Dunsmore was a little girl, she swore she was going to marry Will Naismith, her brother’s best friend. Just before she’s to come out to society, they share a night of passion that will lead to a number of events that change their lives forever. This was a really good story. My heart cried at everything that happened because of assumptions and lack of communications. I really felt for everything Elinor, Will and her entire family had been through. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

Lady Elinor Dunsmore gave her heart and her body to Will Naismith on her eighteenth birthday. He was her brother's best friend. After they made love, he left her. She was alone and frightened. In desperation she married a French Viscount. After his death she was imprisoned in France and her baby girl was taken from her. Now she's free and in Paris. She's determined to find her child. She's forced to be a tool of an evil man. Can she save her honor and still be reunited with her little girl? I liked Lady Elinor. She's intelligent and willing to risk her life for her child. Her spirit and her spunk are amazing. Her first love, Will, sees her and is stunned by the revelation that she's alive. Her family believes that she died in childbed. It bothered me that he's so inflexible. He loves the lady but only wants to believe the worst of her. For an intelligent man, he doesn't think before he speaks. Though I will admit that he's capable of incredible romantic gestures. I cared for Elinor and Will . These two are an incredible couple and they have such amazing chemistry! I wanted them to get a second chance at love. They belong together. Diana Quincy has written a story filled with surprising twists and turns. I was on the edge of my seat as I watched Elinor try and outwit General Gerard Duret. This man is true evil. He's not above using a child to force the Lady be his spy. The Rebellious Brides series is filled with glamour, passion and adventure. These books are keepers. I received a copy in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

I was most excited to read “A License to Wed” after having read Quincy’s excellent book “Spy Fall”. So, one could imagine my excitement and pleasure to learn that “License” basically picks up where “Spy Fall” leaves off, but focuses on Cosmo Dunsmore’s allegedly deceased sister, Elinor, and his best friend, Will Naismith. The story starts off revealing a steamy affair between the two in the past, and picks up six years later when they happen upon each other in Paris. From there, the two become reacquainted through some shady dealings involving a cold-hearted French general who forces Elinor to entrap Will, if she wants to see her daughter again. But dealing with each other in the present forces Elinor and Will to address the feelings they still have for each other, and to learn to trust each other in order to achieve what they most desire. I loved this book immensely. Immediately I became super-anxious to find out what would happen next, as it was clear it was going to take a lot for Elle and Will to move past their past hurts and misunderstandings. With the romantic tension, Quincy does an excellent job of adding suspense and intrigue, which keeps the action good and fast paced. “License” is an excellent read, and Quincy’s books should be added to your reading lists. Copy received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Diana Quincy knows how to write a story. Will and Elle's reunion is darkly sensual. A dance of temptation lends these lovers into dangerous territory. License to Wed packs on the intrigue but delivers lots of seduction. I received an ARC of License to Wed in exchange for an honest review. I've found with Ms. Quincy one taste is never enough.
