A thoroughly enjoyable read – both informative and entertaining. This is the book that we wish was available for reference when dealing with difficult personalities and challenges at the workplace. As a fellow Program Manager, I wholly concur with the recommendations made by Doug (the Author) on handling the same. A "must read" for anyone who wants to progress in their career, really!

I wish I had read it 25 years ago. Maybe I could have done better in the corporate rat race, or maybe screwed up less, or bit my tongue more, or shot from the hip less. The reward for doing a bang up job is getting borrowed like a tool, told the bar has been raised when expecting a raise, and watching lesser folks take the credit. I let it happen, so it is partly my fault. I made room for the next pawn. It's their turn to figure it out. Every one of them needs to read this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and was captivated by your riveting expose' on people who work in a professional business environment. I worked with every type of "idiot" portrayed in your book throughout my Wall Street career. I couldn't wait to get to each succeeding chapter and I look forward to hearing more in a follow-up to this true reflection of life as it is.

A Lifetime Working with Idiots & How to Survive...is a great book. Useful information for every person, in any profession, regardless of age. A must read for anyone who wants to get ahead in business and in life. The Author is an excellent writer and mentor who has transcribed his years of experience into a "fun and informative read". Enjoy!

I highly recommend this book as a must read for everyone who, like me, has ever had an "idiot encounter" so egregious that you literally look in the corners of the room for cameras as if you’re on Candid Camera or being "Punked" by Ashton Kutcher. How refreshing to have corporate characters unfold on the pages with such truth, hilarity and wisdom! Solutions and suggestions on how to survive idiot encounters as well as compassion fueled life lessons are included as well. Reading this book has empowered me to keep on keeping on now that Doug has confirmed that there are no hidden cameras, idiot encounters are just idiots doing what idiots do rather than personal character attacks and he’s provided many inside jokes to laugh about during future idiot encounters.

I finished your book. I found it to be so informative. Everyone in the work force, or that knows anyone in the corporate world should definitely consider giving them a copy. You just about covered every situation one can endure with very good advice. A Lifetime Working With Idiots & How To Survive, was written in such easy to read format and gets a 5 Star rating from me. Even if someone isn't in the workforce, we stumble upon these personalities everyday. Thanks for such an entertaining book.
