A Little Too Hot is so very HOT!!!

I can not tell you how hot it is. From the very first I was hooked and it kept getting better and Better.

I never thought I would love it so much, but oh man, I do! If you have read the previous two books in this Hot series you know it can get really steamy in here quick. And in this latest, Gosh it was steamy from the first I read about that stranger Harrison!

Oh my Harrison! I’m not trying to swear but Oh My Gosh! He’s so hot and I thought Alessandro from A Little Too Much was hot, Harrison is to die for~

Okay so we have Samantha whom we met in book one, A Little Too Far who was Trent’s girlfriend and bestie to his step-sister, Lexie. If you’ve read the book you know what all came down. We also got a mixed feeling for Sam in that book, but now she has her own story.

So Sam has been kicked out of her home by her mother and has no job or a place to stay. Therefore she asked her friend Jonathan to stay with him and his roommate. He agrees but hooked her up at a gentlemen’s bar (not to mistake it for a strip club) to pay for her share of the rent.

Sam obliges and gets the job dancing for the customers and so on.

But sparks starts to fly when she spots a Mysterious gentleman and once she got a called to dance privately for the Mysterious gentleman, she couldn’t help herself but want to get under him and throw the rules over her head of no touching, close contact, and all those no nos with the customers.

So there are more private VIPs with Mr. Harrison Yates and some super sweaty hot scenes which, trust me, they were worth it!

But of course things aren’t always what they seems and once Sam crossed that road of client and something more with Harrison, she threw herself into unknown territory with him.

Harrison as you may know has secrets and well, they are hug depending how you want to see it. They change the story dramatically which I love because it made the story even better! It’s really hard not to love him.

I really love how Lisa once again got my mind and heart pounding! I couldn’t put the book down and was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole read! And I also read it in One Whole Seating! Should I even say there was some suspense? I know I got that from the previous book but it really worked in this one! And the twists and turns!!! Oh man. I had to take a breather just to let everything settled in. Shall I say this was both before and after the turns of events?!

Every time I turned the pages I just get thrown in and out of feeling really tighten up with nervousness or holding my breath in….some kind of swooning senselessness! Harrison is just a God!! My goodness!

It actually got me thinking about working at a gentlemen’s bar if I can find a man that Hot and Sexy! Wow!

And even though it was in the POV of Sam like all the other previous books with only the heroine’s view, I didn’t mind it but gosh how I would love to get into Harrison’s head!

I also really loved the chemistry between Sam and Harrison. They have a really hot and great chemistry. Not just because they have a very different background but because their sex drive and hunger for each other was so strong and out of the world that I couldn’t ignore it. Even from the very beginning it was there and not just because Sam was dressed skimpy in barely nothing or getting it down on the pole but man, I swear I could feel their sexiness oozing out of my Kindle!

I just got to say I didn’t think Lisa can pull any thing up against Alessandro but man I was wrong.

Harrison is my sexy Hunk for this year’s ‘Gotta have that Hunky Hot Sex Abs’! I might even have to start that Meme after him.

Wow, I’m getting hot and giddy and you just have to pick this baby up when it releases! Thank you Lisa and the people at Harper Collins for giving me this opportunity to read this book!!! Phew.

Please forgive me if this review doesn't make any sense. Blame L

Please forgive me if this review doesn't make any sense. Blame Lisa, the author. I tried my best to finish this book last night. I just couldn't stop reading it. I wanted to know that everything worked out in the end. When the synopsis says that Harrison spins Sam's life into a spiral of chaos she isn't kidding. I definitely never saw the events coming.
The sexual tension between the two was palpable. How they were able to spend so much time in the same room together without giving into each other I'll never know. It would have taken a lot of self control. Then again, the situation would be enough to help my control.
This is just another amazing book by Lisa Desrocher. If you haven't read any of her other books, you should. This is the third I have read and I have found them all to be equally amazing.

5 stars - Scorching hot with some surprises First Impression

5 stars - Scorching hot with some surprises

First Impression...I've been meaning to get to this series but haven't had time.  Since this one is stand along, I was excited to jump in.  Plus, that cover is smokin' hot.

The Story...This story captured my interest from the first page.  I was totally drawn into Sam's mess.  And she really has one.  Failed out of college and given some tough love by her parents, she finds herself desperate enough to take a job dancing to make the rent.  But what really surprised me was the fact that I didn't find myself judging her.  Yeah, she's made some poor choices but she's growing up and that happens.  Her mess is fixable...well at least at first.  I was a little put out by her parents.  I get why they cut her off but even if you stop throwing money at it they could have at least continued to call her.  That kinda had my mama bear claws out.

The Characters...Okay, Sam spends 90 minutes alone with Harrison and she's fallen for him.  I know, you're crying NO insta-love.  No worries.  The falling is chemistry.  Some smokin' hot chemistry.  And I think you have to count some of the time Sam was dancing and Harrison was watching her.  His attention has a very strong affect on her.  I never felt it was contrived.  Instead, I loved Sam and her willingness to work hard to figure things out.  When the mess becomes worse, I love that she grows up enough to realize she really hasn't made the best choices.  Made me love the girl and I, so, have her back.  No bad mouthing the dancer on my watch.  As for Harrison, I will admit to figuring something out just before it went down.  And, while I should be mad at the boy, I just can't be.  His situation is tough.  And he makes up for it in the end - I think.  Love them both.

The Writing...I completely loved the writing.  There's been some books lately that I've struggled with and I was so in need of a good one.  When time went by in the story,  I never felt like I'd missed a bunch and story flowed well.  There was just the right amount of action and summary.  Very enjoyable to read.

Could I put it down? Did I want to? NO. Did I have to? Yes. Read it over a couple of nights but I could have easily read it straight through if I had the time.  I certainly didn't want the breaks.  I found myself thinking about it at work and wondering about things.

In The End...Just what I needed after some less than great reads lately.  I really enjoyed this story and would recommend it to anyone who loves a very HOT romance with a few surprises.

Despite not reading the other books in this series, I was blown

Despite not reading the other books in this series, I was blown away. I mean, the beginning, with Sam meeting Harrison in the club and thinking he was her ex was explained well enough that I wasn't in any way lost. And holy smokes, was their chemistry hot. But just when I thought I knew where the story was going, BAM! The author threw in the mother of all plot twists and all I could do was hold on for the ride after that. It was pretty amazing that this author had me stumped right up until the end. I would recommend A LITTLE TOO HOT to anyone who loves their books smokin' hot and unpredictable. I'm going back to the other books now to see if they're as good as this one. If they are, this author will soon be on my auto-buy list.

First impression: Despite the fact that I wasn't a fan of Sam's

    First impression:
Despite the fact that I wasn't a fan of Sam's in A Little Too Far, I was excited to read this one. The premise sounded unique and I was curious to see what Harrison was all about.

    The story:
Samantha is desperate and is in search of a place to stay and a job. Her friend Jonathan pulls through and helps her get a job dancing at a gentleman's club. While Sam never pictured herself doing something this extreme, she finds that she's pretty good at it. Especially when she attracts the attention of customers like Harrison Yates.

Harrison has a familiarity about him that draws Sam in. Not only is he sexy, but he gains her trust by talking about his broken heart. Sam is liking her job, but Harrison makes coming to work worth it. However, meeting Harrison will change Sam's life in ways she never imagined.

A Little Too Hot was not only, well...hot, but the story took off right away and I was glued to the pages till the end. I was so into the story that I read it in a few hours. I loved A Little Too Far, but I loved this book just as much. And here's the best part, these two stories that I love so much, while in the same series are so very uniquely different.

    The characters:
I honestly wasn't sure what to think about reading a whole book about Sam. In the first book, I was a little miffed that she was after Trent. At the same time, I felt a bit sorry for her in that book. In this book, I found myself really liking her character. I still had sympathy for her, but I also liked the fact that she handled herself and the challenges thrown at her very well. She had a little bit of sass too, which made me smile. I appreciate a sassy chick.

Harrison won me over the minute he walked up to the stage. There's just something about him that pulls you in. Sure, he's sexy but it's more than that. Maybe it's his confidence or the way he makes Sam feel safe right away...I'm not sure, but I liked it. A lot. I knew right away where the story was going, but I found myself falling for him in the same way that Sam did.

Sam and Harrison together was pretty awesome. There is an undeniable attraction between them. Their steamy moments were off the charts hot! But it wasn't even the actual act, per se, but the sexual tension and build up throughout the story that made it that much better.

The supporting characters were awesome too. I really, really want Jonathan to have a book. He makes me laugh and I think he's pretty adorable. I'm thinking a book with Katie and Jonathan would be fantastic and feel that it's our duty as readers to make this happen! I also have to mention that my belly fluttered when I got to see Lexi and Trent again. I just love them. *sigh*

    Overall:
I loved every minute of this story. As I said before, I breezed through this book and I couldn't wait to see how the story would play out. I've mention my love of the first book, but I've yet to read the second book and had absolutely no trouble with following this book. The books in the series truly are special on their own and can be read as stand alones. If you haven't started this series yet and you're looking for plots that are inventive, exciting, and passionate...this is the series for you!

    Quotes:
~I've never wanted anything in my life as intensely as I want Harrison, and it scare me how I let that base need cloud my judgement. It's only as I stand here with my back against the door, breathing hard and throbbing where I shouldn't be, that my head starts to clear.-Loc 1058

~His kiss isn't gentle. It's hungry and insistent. It's rough and hot and angry. It's so desperate that I ache with his need. His tongue slashes through my lips and I open wide, letting him have me, letting him taste all of me.-Loc 1540

A Little Too Hot (A Little Too Far #3) by Lisa Desrochers A Li

A Little Too Hot (A Little Too Far #3) by Lisa Desrochers

A Little Too Hot is the 3rd book in A Little Too Far series by Lisa Desrochers, this book can be read as a standalone and you won’t feel like you’re missing out on anything. The only thing is I will say once you read this story you will really want to go back and read book 1 & 2 if you haven’t read them already. Lisa Desrochers has written an extremely well written novel, lots of romance, so very funny moments and of course a hot alpha male. The plot and characters were well written this entire novel flows really well and it is one of those book that is very hard to put down until you reach the end.

We meet Sam whose parents have just kicked her out of the house and cut her off financially because her lifestyle has just gotten her kicked out of college. Now she is in need of a job to survive and pay her rent once she finds a place to live at this point she is pretty much homeless. Thank god for her friend Jonathan he lets Sam stay at his place (short term) and even helps her secure a job as a dancer in a night club.

One of the first evening Sam has to dance we meet Harrison, Sam is instantly attracted to him and seems to almost dance better when he is around. Harrison makes an appearance a few times at the club and even pays for a few private dances and you can feel the heat level rise. Sam cannot help herself and breaks a few of the rules the night club has for all their dancer and lets Harrison touch her. Once night things go a bit too far!

But all is not what it seems and Sam is shocked when she finds out Harrisons has a big secret.
I cannot say anymore at this point without having to include spoiler alerts. I will say that this novel is worth the read and if you like strong characters, hot alpha males filled with action, suspense, romance then this is the novel for you.

I have rated A Little Too Hot a 4.5 and Lisa Desrochers has become an author I will defiantly be following to see what she comes up with next. I highly recommend A Little Too Hot!

Another wonderful and super hot book in this amazing series! A L

Another wonderful and super hot book in this amazing series! A Little Too Hot was definitely hot and a fantastic read. I totally loved this book. It had thrills, secrets, and, of course, romance. And, I thought it was all lovely.

Sam was a wonderful heroine. She was put in a bad situation, but she made the best of it, even though her best wasn't all too successful. I have to admit, I didn't like her when we met her in A Little Too Far. I thought she was kind of ditzy and shallow. But, in this book, she grew up and proved herself. And, I ended up really liking her.

Harrison was also great. This guy had a lot of secrets, but he had his reasons for keeping them. Once his guard finally dropped, we see how sweet he really was. And, he was very strong-willed, clever, determined, and loyal to his loved ones. I totally adored him.

The romance was lovely. Sam and Harrison were sweet together, once they both began to, reluctantly, trust each other. And, the sparks between them were constantly flying. The chemistry was hot from the moment they met and it just got hotter. I thought they were great together.

The plot was good. The one weak point of this book was that the pace dragged at some points. But, for the most part, I was kept interested. There were tons of secrets and danger that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the cameo we get of Lexi and Trent and how their happily ever after was going. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was lovely. I haven't heard news of a book 4 yet, but I hope I do soon, because I definitely want more from this super hot series!

A Little Too Hot was a fantastic New Adult romance. It was hot, intense, steamy, and sweet. I absolutely loved this book! Romance lovers, this is a book not to be missed. And, fans of the series, you will not be disappointed.

I wanted to read this one because I have enjoyed the others

I wanted to read this one because I have enjoyed the others in the A Little Too Far series, and even Lisa's first series Personal Demons. Of course, I wanted to find out what she had in store for me in this one.

I could def relate with Sam, the main character. Life has dealt her a hard hand, and she feels like a disappointment to her parents. She's dropped (read failed) out of college, and she is semi-couch surfing. She is strong though, and she is open to accepting help from the people that are in her life.

Although I can't dance, I could still root for her as she went to Benny's untrained and a ball of nerves. But its not a strip club persay, she just dances and while she isn't wearing a ton of clothes, they all stay in place. This has to be such a hard situation, because you have to know that most of those girls are doing it for the money, and may feel like they don't have a choice. I do like though, that they get immersed into the culture and some of them discover they like it. Or at least aspects of it.

I liked Harrison at first, but the twist, oh the twist. It was hard to keep liking him. Although through many tv shows, I know the other side of it, but in this situation, I was pulling for Sam so it was a shock and slap in the face. The direction the story took after that was pretty unique, but I skimmed a bit. Until the karate scene. That is when my heart started really getting back into it. It was a hot scene, and the showing of a somewhat forbidden relationship. But then they were interrupted, which became quite the theme for their relation-whatever you wanna call it.

While this one was good, I enjoyed Lisa's other books better. I think once trust was broken with Harrison I couldn't get as fully into the romance.

Bottom Line:  While this one was good, I enjoyed Lisa's other books better. I think once trust was broken with Harrison I couldn't get as fully into the romance.
