A Live One

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Phish's strength has always been its live shows, and A Live One shows why. Given the opportunity, the band takes its songs in every direction, winding through several different sounds within the course of a song. A Live One also features seven previously unreleased songs, making it worthwhile listening for even casual fans. Then again, most fans of Phish will want to hear everything the group has ever played.

Best Live Phish CD out there

This is the first Phish CD i ever listened to and it remains my favorite. Bouncing Around the Room, Stash, Gumbo, You Enjoy Myself....all Masterpeices. This is the best Live CD out there.

    Great show

This was my first Phish experience and I'm addicted now. Highlights are almost the entire entire first disc. Gumbo is great and I enjoy especially you enjoy myself and slave to the traffic light. But on the second disc squirming coil and simple stand out. Wilson is nice and harry hood, but tweezer-while genius-goes off into uncharted territory sometimes. Overall, great cd.

    Actually 4.5, but close enough

This CD (should I say CDs) is a great one to get if you are not acquainted with the live side of Phish. In Disc One, Phish demonstrates their musical abilities in all their songs, and there is a big variety of what they play. In Disc Two, Phish starts to show off and start to goof around. This is a great album and is well worth the money.
