A Long Way from Eden is a sensational portrait of the Sun Coast of Florida and some of its finest coppers--Adam Templeton and Joe Davey. From the start when a sinkhole opens up to reveal a corpse the story takes off on a tear that leads all across the state. Along the way it crashes into the highest levels of the nutball millenial fever in preacherland with some of the best dialogue and action anyone's read in a while. Four stars for this one.
