Overview

Everyone has in his or her life an unfinished romance. The "one who got away" can be the one who keeps us awake at night years after the end of the affair. Robb is no exception to the spell of lost love. To that end he sails back to Singapore, hoping to find his Lila and mend the rift that occurred between them when he sailed away. She wouldn't leave; he wouldn't stay. An impasse. Two years without her have made him want her more. So he's back. And this time he's ready to settle down. But will she still want him? What will happen when he knocks upon the lotus-covered door?

Every little detail seems to jump off the pages, allowing one to almost feel the breeze and smell the sea as Robb follows his heart back to Singapore.

This story almost had me in tears. So close, so close to reaching his dream only to lose it? A Lotus-Covered Door is a short and sweet delight that embraces romance with sublime simplicity.

At 17 pages, this was a nice little short story. I was expecting a novella so it was a bit disappointing. There wasn't much to it. Thecsummary about covered the whole thing.
