This story is the third in this western romance time travel series (A Law of Her Own and A Marshal of Her Own). I loved Bull and Dipsey and the Texas setting, and the tie-in to the previous book. I've read many of this author's works, and she has a creative flair for adding new twists and turns to her time travel stories, which isn't an easy thing to do. I recommend this book and the two before it.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Posted on Romancing the Books blog / Reviewed by Sarah L. / Review Copy Provided by the Publisher / After being teased and tortured at the end of the first two books in this series, we FINALLY have Bull Dawson’s story. While I’m sure this book would stand well enough on its own, I highly recommend reading all three books in order to see the entire picture.
Bull Dawson stumbled onto a book when his daughter Charity was young which led him to believe she may travel back in time sometime in the future. Despite how much he tried to protect her and keep her by his side, she still disappeared without a trace. Devastated, he gets his modern day affairs in order and is determined to travel back in time to find her.
I had to chuckle at the visualization I got with Ms. LaRoque’s vivid descriptions of Bull fully prepared with his gun glued to his side and his vest loaded down with gold bars, ready at a moment’s notice to travel back in time and afraid to take a shower as he didn’t want to get caught with his pants down so to speak and travel back in time naked. Just like Charity and Dessa from books 1 and 2, Bull grabs a quilt from the cabin and heads out to a small clearing where he falls asleep as the fog starts to roll in. He wakes up with his own rifle trained on him.
This is a very sweet story of a father trying to become reunited with his lost daughter and finds love in the process. It was great to revisit with old friends from the first two books in the series and also get to know Bull better along with Dipsey and her son. Overall, this was a very enjoyable book in the series and I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed.
