Inside this B&N Trade Paperback Special Edition of A Madaris Bride for Christmas, you will find:

• An exclusive letter from Felicia Laverne Madaris, matriarch of the Madaris clan.

And this legendary matron will reveal the logic and secrets behind her well-known matchmaking.
In her 100th book, New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Brenda Jackson blends heated sensuality and drama into a dazzling new novel featuring one of her most unforgettable Madaris heroes yet...
One by one, Madaris men have surrendered to the matchmaking schemes of Felicia Laverne Madaris, matriarch of the family. But Lee Madaris isn't letting anyone else control his destiny. He'll bring a bride of his own choosing to the family's holiday gathering—if his hotel's gorgeous new chef will agree to a marriage of convenience.

It's not just the chance to work at the Strip's hottest hotel that brought Carly Briggs to Vegas. Witnessing a crime in Miami may have made her a mob target. Though she's reluctant to complicate their working relationship, Lee's tempting offer is so hard to resist. And soon, desire is clouding their no-strings arrangement.

The danger that made Carly flee Miami is about to land at their door. So Carly and Lee must decide who to trust, when to let go—and whether a love they never anticipated is strong enough to pass the ultimate test.

This has turned out to be one of my favorite Madaris series book

This has turned out to be one of my favorite Madaris series books, coming in behind the Midnight Hour. Brenda Jackson continues to amaze me with her excellent writing style. All I can say is Mama Laverne strikes again. Lee thought he was putting one over on the Madaris matriarch and bless his heart for that. This story between Lee and Carly is wonderful. Lee most definitely lives up to the Madaris name with his fierce protectiveness, overwhelming passion and unconditional love for his woman. It was great that she tied in other Madaris and Madaris friends’ books as well as a Westmoreland book into this one. You get a look into how some of those characters are going about their lives. This is definitely a 5 star read and I look forward to reading more in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

A Madaris Bride for Christmas --
    Arabesque --
    October 2013 --
    Brenda Jackson --

Brenda Jackson’s celebrates with her 100th novel. --

Carly Briggs was in the wine room of the restaurant where she worked as a pastry chef when she heard an angry man accusing another man of being a traitor. When Carly heard gunshots, she fainted. But, after investigating in the alley and not finding anything, everyone thought that Carly had dreamed it. Carly called in to the Police hotline and found out no one had been reported missing. After several months Carly got a chance to move to Vegas for a better job, she took the job to get away from Miami. Still, she wondered if she’d really heard a murder take place. --

Lee Madaris great-grandmother was going to find a woman for each of her grand sons
to marry and Lee is next in line. Lee Madaris co-owned the Grand MD Hotel in Vegas and Grand MD Hotel in Dubai with DeAngelo Di Meglio. Lee and DeAngelo were planning to open their third hotel Grand MD in Paris, France, as soon as they could get finance backing. One night in Vegas, Lee spots a woman dancing on the balcony of his hotel, he decides to join her. After dancing with Carly he couldn’t stop thinking about her. Lee decides that he has found his own bride, and Carly was the woman for him. --

The only problem with Lee’s plans was that a Miami mob was planning to take over the Grand MD in Vegas. The FBI wanted to take down the mob because one of their own undercover men had disappeared in Miami. They needed Lee help in taking down the mob’s origination. --

Brenda Jackson once again brings the Madaris’ amazing family and their friends to help good overcome evil. Will Lee be able to keep Carly safe from the gangsters who are invading the Grand MD in Vegas? I enjoyed Lee and Carly journey into love and can’t wait to hear more about the Madaris family.

Yes Brenda Jackson does it again. This book was definitely worth 5 stars and I promise that the 100th book will not disappoint you. I love this time of year because it's all about love and it never fails reading a Brenda Jackson book always renew my faith in love and have me excited. Lee Madaris whew he almost made me love him more than Clayton lol. Lee thought that he would choose his own bride but turns out that him and Mama Laverne had the same thought you could say it was just fate. Lee believes that passion is what will keep Carly and hisself together never thinking love. From the beginning his wanting to give her everything she desire, wanting her to be apart of his family since she didn't have one, wanting her to be apart of his world and that Madaris need to protect those they claim all made us believe that what Lee thought was passion was definitely love. I agree a marriage should have passion and love something about the passion Lee had for Carly and her for him that just made you smile and think of long nights cuddle by the fire place. I'm a hopeless romantic and Mrs. BJ definitely have me my fall fix. Don't miss out on meeting the next Madaris bride this book is everything I don't want to give to much away but just know if you don't read it your missing out so read it read it read it you will not be disappointed.

    Recommended - Interesting read

While romances can become routine and run of the mill, Brenda Jackson does it again by developing characters with real lifestyles. This was a page turner as the main characters met and their lives were woven together. A Madaris Bride for Christmas is definitely a story about building trust, understanding and love. There is always a twist within her novels.

A Madaris Bride for Christmas by Brenda Jackson is an intriguin

A Madaris Bride for Christmas by Brenda Jackson is an intriguing read from the onset.  It captures ones attention and has you wondering what's next.  Great Grandma Laverne has been "match making" with her grandchildren and now great grandchildren.  At around 95 years of age, she is determined to see a wedding for each of them and she's getting it done.  Well some of her lineage, won't accept that and are determined to best her by picking and marrying their choice.  Well Lee Madaris is one of them and he sets out to do just that after a woman he sees from his balcony catches his eye and full attention.  Lee is the co-owner of an illustrious hotel in Las Vegas, which is the second one for him and his partner. His goal is to have the grandest hotel on the strip and he is doing just that.
Carly Briggs jumps at a chance to work as a Chef at one of the grandest hotels on the Las Vegas strip, especially after believing she witnessed a crime in Miami. For a treat to herself, she books a room at the hotel for one night and Lee happens to see her from a distance, then up close and personal. Later, he gets an idea and sets out to put it in motion if his hotel's gorgeous new chef will agree to a marriage of convenience.  Will she agree....hmmmm? All this is further complicated when per Brenda Jackson ”the danger that made Carly flee Miami is about to land at their door. So Carly and Lee must decide who to trust, when to let go—and whether a love they never anticipated is strong enough to pass the ultimate test."
Mrs. Jackson penned a tale that allows us to witness the blooming of a potential romance and has us captivated with the suspense and thrill as titillating details unfold.  This novel was a great 5 stars read that I thoroughly enjoyed. CONGRATULATIONS BRENDA JACKSON ON YOUR 100th Novel!!

    Review:

"A Madaris Bride For Christmas" by Brenda Jackson was another one of this authors wonderful amazing reads. This story was one of 'family, love, drama, romance and a suspenseful' all wrapped up into one. Did Lee think that he could pick his bride without any help from Mama Laverne...well, ha ha for that thought. Mama Laverne who was quite the matchmaker in this Madaris family. She has been fixing up her great grandchildren so why would Lee even think he could do this all by himself, but the children that were yet single thought the could find their own loves without Mama Laverne's help. Lee thought he had it done just that... all by himself ...picking his own bride...Carly with there being a instant attraction from their first meeting...the kiss! By the time they met the second time Lee knew this was the woman for him. Would he be able to use this attraction for Carly to solve his problem with his great grandmother? Now, this will not be a smooth ride for Lee and Carly and you will see by putting up this well written novel and seeing for yourself. Once you start it will be hard to put down until the end. I found all the characters all so well developed and colorful giving the reader a awesome read. I love how this author was able to bring in 'visiting old friends and family' into the read. Be ready for lots of love, family drama, danger along with the adventure of it all in this good read. "A Madaris Bride for Christmas" is one sweet fun sweet read for the holiday Christmas season...however, it's a good read anytime. So, if you are looking for a good read with lots of twist and turns along with some suspense then you have come to the right place. Would I recommend "A Madaris Bride for Christmas?" Yes, Yes, Yes!

This is my first book from this series and I adored the Madaris

This is my first book from this series and I adored the Madaris family, especially the great-gradma and her nosy past time of matchmaker. Lee was a perfect guy with faults and trying his best to control his own love life. He tried to pull a fast one, but didn’t make it. So this book was a romance with a little bit of suspense and enjoyed the action scenes.

Carly was a nice girl, she suffered a lot in life with awful mother, but she made a great life for herself and witnessed a murderer that months later came back to haunt her. I really liked her discoveries in life with Lee, because almost everyone treated her pretty bad and Lee was different. He showed her great sex and a normal relationship with more than just orgasms. They became friends and even his strange offer for marriage was kinda cute.

I liked the side characters, made me want to read the rest of this series.

100 never looked better, Brenda Jackson did not disappoint with her 100th novel. Lee Madaris display passion to the utmost. Carly is running scared from love, when Lee tries to outsmart his grandmother, he never thought he would find love. Brenda combines the right amount of love, drama and suspense in this one. It was great to be reacquainted with other family members and friends.
