    Ugh!

I kept reading because, despite the predictability of it, I liked the story. But there was so much wrong with it, most notably the grammar. The author seemed unable to grasp the concept of maintaining consistent verb tenses. At first, I thought some of the errors were lack of proof reading, but they were so consistent I had to face the fact that they were made out of ignorance rather than carelessness.

Another issue, & I could be wrong, but I felt like this was a British author attempting to approximate American teen colloquialisms & failing by accidentally using British terms like "mate" & "Uni." And what is up with all of the characters using the phrase, "Thank gods," as if that is the new socially acceptable way of phrasing it? I, for one, have never heard that term used. Thank Goddess maybe, but gods? I don't think so.

I really wanted to like this author but felt like somehow this was the idealized life of a teenage witch, written by a teenager. Choosing Salem began to seem like one more cliche. I can only hope that this author will take the time & exercise the discipline to learn grammar, verb tenses, & sentence structure. There is potential but one I fear will never be realized without additional education. Story-telling may come naturally, but the writing does not.

    Excellent!

Wonderful YA paranormal romance with witches and vampires and werewoves joining to fight a common enemy. The romance between Lily and Josh is a little too perfect but hey, this is make believe not real life. A great escapist read.

    Great Read

I loved this story, but just when it was getting good, it ended. I looked for a second book, but there isn't one to be found. I want more!

    Good story

This is a good story, more for teens but enjoyable. I like the fact that the kids aren't sexually active-I can let my daughter read this one. My biggest problem was the grammatical errors and British slang used by the characters. For a story set in America the author should have had an American proofreader to correct things like "pitch" instead of "field". I bought the next book in the series because I enjoyed this one.

    Very likeable

Kind of like a cross between Charmed and Twilight. Likeable characters decent storyline. Descriptive writing, although there was some repeditive grammatical errors. I did't feel that it took away from the overall flow and tempo of the story. If I did have to make a complaint it would be the very abrupt ending( like a television cliffhanger). Making you yearn for the next book( episode). Which is understandable in a business sense. Giving the first book away for free, hooking you in. Then charging you for the rest of the series. I have been noticing this happening much more often recently. Although I am still somewhat new to nook reading. Maybe that is just how it is now. But I digress, I still enjoyed this short story and will look out for the rest of series.

I really enjoyed the blend of supernatural beings in the book. I think the passages of Josh 's pov were unnecessary though. This was overall a great novel and I really can't wait for the next book!

    Boring, pulp trash

I couldn't finish this book. It almost unfolded like a good story but very quickly became droll. It followed a cookie-cutter mold and lacked any originality. So, so boring.

    Read straight through..

At times the grammar was shotty, but the storyline was addicting. I would be more than willing to read the other books in the series.

I really liked the book, however the ending was too abrupt and unfinished. Still recommend reading it though. I discovered another book that continues the storyline.
