Overview

Lisa LaRaye Bradford arrives in Dallas, Texas, with two brown Louis Vuitton leather bags filled with designer clothes and a dream of marrying a rich man. She soon meets Dr. Desmond Taylor, a noted dermatologist, who quickly falls under her enchanting spell. The only problem is that the good looking mulatto doctor is already married, but that won’t stop Lisa from chasing her life long fairy tale or the attractive medicine man. Although she has never succeeded in luring any male away from his devoted spouse, Lisa is about to meet her unequivocal match in Dr. Taylor’s vengeful wife, Belinda.

Mrs. Taylor is familiar with outside women trying to ruin her lackluster marriage. However, she has been successful at halting their feeble attempts to fill her expensive pointed toe shoes. When she deduces that the beautiful Lisa Bradford is her husband’s latest conquest, she devises a diabolical scheme to make sure that his mistress learns a valuable lesson: Leave married men alone and find a man of your own.

Will Lisa survive a scorned woman’s premeditated plan long enough to find a man of her own?

Barbara Joe Williams is the author of Forgive Us This Day, Dancing with Temptation, Falling for Lies, and the co-author of Courtney’s Collage. She’s also the author of A Writer’s Guide to Publishing & Marketing and the co-founder of the Tallahassee Authors Network. You may visit her website at:

After reading Ms. Williams awesome book FORGIVE US THIS DAY, I just had to read her sequel, A MAN OF HER OWN.

The story is about Lisa, a character with a Me, Myself, and I philosophy, as she takes up residence in a new area and begins to create more drama for others, and inadvertently creates more for herself.

This book depicts some real life situations as well as the lessons of karma. And, it demonstrates how anything is possible with love, faith, and forgiveness as well as finding the ultimate unconditional love.

If you are looking for a great combination of faith and fiction, definitely read this book!
