Blaine Andrews, the Pack Marshall, and Cameron Nickels, senior enforcer, have a long standing relationship, but personal tragedy and a feeling of something is missing has kept Cameron from committing to the mating bond with Blaine. Then while on a run Cameron finds two young children shifters hiding in the woods from the mutant and rogues wolves of the Onyx Pack that have held them captive for over a year. Turns out they are the children of Graham Griffin's former lover, who sent them to Graham for safety knowing he was a marked man and about to die.
Cameron finds herself as attracted to Graham as she is Blaine; mot to mention she has already taken Sammie and Max her heart. Graham finds himself drawn to Cameron, but knows she is in a mating dance with Blaine, the other wolf that helps him ease the pain of loss when ever he is in his presence. Blaine too is shocked to find himself drawn toward Graham. All three are confused as to what it all means. Are they meant to be a triad? Would the pack ever accept such a thing? What happened to Sammie and Max's Dad? How was he involved with the Onyx Pack? Why does the Onyx Pack want the children back if their father is dead? To find the answers you need to read the story. A Mating Dance is the third in the Ashwood Falls Series, but can be read as a stand alone. Ms Davis gives enough information of the prior stories to keep you up with what is happening in the series. I will tell you though that is Davis Ashwood Falls series is a keeper. If you get a chance to read them do not pass them by. You will give the series a read through more than once.
Winter's Eve starts the series followed by A Tiger's Claim. Surrendering to the Alpha is a short novella that tells which comes after a Mating Dance and for your reading pleasure you have Divided Loyalties Coming Dec 17, 2013. There is also a short novella in the anthology Ever After titled A Rebel's Heart. Check out this delightful series today. You will not be disappointed.

A Triad is a mating between 3 people. Cam has been putting off mating Blaine for years. Something has always been missing until Graham came to Ashwood Falls. Cam is one lucky female jaguar if she would just accept mating both ultra sexy male leopards. Blaine, Graham, and Cameron have the potential to be a very powerful Triad.
This is just one more great story in the Ashwood Falls series. These characters really balance each other out in each and every way. The sense of family really comes shining through in this story. You just never know what's going to happen around the next tree. There's lots of excitement, thrills, mystery, sadness, hope, and happiness. Also, Lia Davis has a unique way of teasing her readers with glimpses of future stories. I can't wait to read the next book in this awesome shifter series.

The third book in the Ashwood Falls series is as captivating as the first two. It has suspense, action, romance, family, and a triad.
Cam and Blaine have been in the mating dance for years, but Cam’s jaguar was just not ready for that final step. Then Nevan’s mountain lion brother, Graham, comes to Ashwood Falls to help design the new nursery and school and the attraction between the three scorch the pages as the author conveys the emotions and chemistry involved in becoming a triad.
Strong and engaging characters draw the reader into the story as the suspense and action build. The pack continues to fight against their enemies and to protect everyone is their pack. Everyone also joins Cam and Blaine and try to help Graham’s adopted children get over the trauma of being held captive by the mutant rogues and losing their father.
The author has created a strong community for these shifters and the reader is completely enchanted with their lives. The author describes the battles and the romance between the characters with vivid clarity and once I picked up the book, I could not put it down until I was finished. I do wish the stories were longer and some things expanded a little more, but this in no way takes away from this intriguing world.

She brought us to the cliffs of near insanity but pulled us back just in time.
So, what did I think about A Mating Dance?
I loved the first two books of hers that I read – Winter’s Eve and A Tiger’s Claim so I would have been shocked to find that I did not enjoy A Mating Dance. Lia’s voice in her books is clean and clear and comfortable to read. Her characters are multi-dimensional and interesting with real personalities and problems all their own. I found Cam, Blaine and Graham to be likeable and their interaction together believable. More than that, it was HOT!!! I like stories with menages but even if they are not your favorite, Lia handles it all in a tasteful and yummy manner.
Lia kept the adrenaline running on high throughout the story. I flipped page after page as quickly as I could to find out my beloved, “What Happened Next?”. She brought us to the cliffs of near insanity but pulled us back just in time. The story wrapped up neatly, leaving me drooling for more and eagerly anticipating Surrendering to the Alpha.
Each book stands alone in my opinion but for the full effect, you really should read them in sequence. If you are a Shifter lover already then you will be on a new crack high when you finish. Have not tried this particular brand of Paranormal yet? Once you have tasted Shifter crack, you will not want to go back. *grin*
*Note: I received this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are my own and no further compensation was received.

After reading the prequel and first book, I didn’t know if I was going to like this book. Lia Davis took this book in the perfect direction and down the perfect path. So much happens in Mating Dance. Blaine has waited forever to claim his mate. They have suffered the worst kind of loss together and it nearly tore them apart. He wouldn’t allow it though.
Cam has always felt as though something was missing from her relationship with Blaine. She just figured she wasn’t enough for him. When Graham comes into the story, they both find what’s been missing and nagging them.
This triad is bound to be what holds the Ashwood Falls pack together in the trying times to come. I can’t wait to read more about these three, their adopted family and the whole pack.

Cameron is a very strong female but she also suffered a loss she had trouble getting over,i loved seeing her softer side with little Max. Blaine is her mate but she still feels that something is missing until she meets Graham but she is unsure if she she wants one mate let alone two, so both males join forces to convice her otherwise.
Blaine is very Alpha male and next in line to be Alpha but even though he is frustrated with Cameron he doesn't want to push her to far.
Then there is Graham who has only ever been with males but is feeling the attraction to Cameron then meets Blaine and feel the same attraction.
And so the mating dance between the three begins while taking care of emotional children that had been held captive, mutant fights, each of them ending up in medical at some point, a kidnapping and trying to see if a triad can work between them. Also enjoyed the slight insight into the Alpha Keegan,Addyson and 2 other characters which has me wanting to read more about them.

This series just keeps getting better.
Cameron and Blaine have been dancing around each other for several years. Though they know they are mates, things from the past keep them apart, that and the fact that they know something else is missing.
Graham isn't looking for a relationship. He just doesn't think he is ready. Fate has other things or people in mind.
Can Blaine, Cameron and Graham get past all the past hurts and move on to future that they all deserve?

Hot shifters, romance, chemistry, mystery, and a shifter world like no other..... what is there not to love? I fell in love with this series while reading the prequel and find my self stalking her FB page waiting for each new book. This book features Cameron. She is smart, brave, and strong. She is also a bit broken by a loss she has not been able to truly move on from. Blaine is a strong alpha type male and is willing to fight for and be patient with his mate, even if she is still not able to commit to him completely after years. When Graham shows up, everything changes. Action, mystery, and adventure add to this love story with a less than traditional mating. If you love hot shifter reads, this book is probably for you. You do not have to have read the first books in this series to understand this book, but it will make the story much more enjoyable, especially with the large group of reoccurring characters and the background of Ashwood Falls Pack. Was this review helpful? Can I have this dance? I loved this story. I read it in just over 24 hours! I would have loved to be in the dance between Graham and Blaine! Two strong men and one very strong woman! This is the second full novel in the Ashwood Falls series, be sure to read the prequel and book #1 first - Winter Eve and A Tiger's Claim. In A Mating Dance we continue to get to know the members of the Ashwood Falls pack we met in the first two stories. We are introduced to a few new characters in this story - Addy, Graham, Sable. And now a little bit about the story ...
Cam and Blaine have been dancing around each other for 16 years. She had gotten pregnant during her first heat cycle, but had lost the baby several months later. She was so scared of losing another child she had been afraid to commit to Blaine. In the mean time Graham Griffin, Nevan Matthew's stepbrother, has come to town to redesign the nursery and school. Graham is shocked by his attraction to Cam - he has never been attracted to a female before. His attraction to Blaine is less of a mystery. Can the three of them make it work? Will Blaine (a very strong alpha male) accept another male into his relationship? When two children are rescued from the rogue Onyx pack, Graham is excited to be reunited with his lover's children - but worried what happened to their father. Give this book a try to see what happens next!
Favorite passage: ... he'd been forced to rely on his charm. Which, as Cam would have put it, was like a wet cat trapped inside of a plastic bag.
Keep looking for Surrendering to the Alpha - the next book in the Ashwood Falls series!
