I just buy everything that Ry Cooder puts out. I went on line to order this for a friend and was shocked that no one had reviewed it. This is as good as it gets. I've yet to play it for someone without converting them. Listening to this in stereo with each musician highlighted on his own speaker is truly spiritual. Ry Cooder has introduced me to so many different kinds of music over the years and epitomizes what Ellington said: "There are only two kinds of music; good and bad." I've been a fan since "The Rising Sons". Tex-Mex with Flaco, Hawaiian Blues with Gabby Pahinui, African blues with the great Mali-an, Ali Farka Toure, The Buena Vista Social Club, Chavez Ravine, his latest with The Chieftains. Not to mention all of the amazing movie sound tracks. Sorry to get off on a rant but this guy is not only a great musician but a true visionary in the music world. Oh, yeah; and politically correct!!!
