    I Also Recommend:

    Yes!yes!!yes!!!

I am a fan of Ms. McKennitt. I am a Unitarian Universalist, and being such I am not a Christian only listener during the Holidays. So when I saw Ms. McKennitt's "A Midwinter Night's Dream" I was excited. Well, she did not disappoint! While some of the tracks certainly reference the Christian mythos, the overall feel of the CD speaks very powerfully of something far older. It's a call for Spiritual reflection on both the wonder of the season and how we as people, connect to our world. Bravo! very well done! It was perfect, softly playing in the backround as my family gathered to our Yule Feast.

    moving, beautiful

beautiful music; not typical "Christmas", but puts one in mind of a time long past before Christmas was about the shopping. She has an absolutely angelic voice. My first CD of hers, NOT the last. Highly recommended.

    more from this reviewer

    Loreena rules!

everyone's taste is different, but Loreena McKennitt is Christmas to me. I love the vocals & traditional instruments so much that the CDs aren't stored away with other Christmas stuff.
