First, let me just say that the book is not my usual genre of reading. Right from the start of the book I found it interesting enough to keep me reading. The book was well written, had an excellent flow and a moving story. The emotions and lessons of life are well presented and unforgettably moving. Well worth a read or two!

I recently was surfing the web about parents that lost a child in a atv accident. I just lost my daughter 6 months ago in a tragic ATV accident as well she was 15 years old. This book is awesome, helpful as I read this book it hit home all too many times it could be our story as well. It was helpful. I knew from the moment my daughter passed that she was in Heaven and Jesus took her up no suffering no pain it all happend to fast. thank you Jennifer to writing your story. As I read this book I finished the sentences before I finished reading them as it is so hard to lose a child. WE all have a journey and this teaches that we do, you must have the faith to know that your children are ok and we will see them again. From the moment I lost my daughter I wondered how I would go on. I have two other daughters who need. me This book is hard to read, but uplifting. It helps the parents that have and are going through this as well as if you were a close friend that wanted to help others and know what it is like going through the hardest thing a parent could ever go through. The pain does not go away but if we find peace that she is OK , that are loved ones are OK and we must move on and have Faith. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Excellent read, but a hard read indeed. Scalise includes many different stories and intertwines them well. I especially liked the pictures of Brooke and the notes that Brooke wrote about God. It was quite moving and must have been very healing for Scalise to write and publish. Brooke's life was a beacon of hope for many and will continue to be as people read this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This story will move you. This story will awaken faith if you lost it along the way. Jennifer shares her story of loosing Brooke and bares her soul. Her writing is so good, you don't read her words, you feel them. You feel her pain, her questioning, her anger, her longing, her love. Brooke was destined to be a sign of faith and hope that so many need and Jennifer has honored her daughter in every way by sharing this story. I am forever moved. Was this review helpful? Jennifer Scalise tells her story in a deeply personal way that draws the reader into her book. She vividly describes her children's joyful early years, the searing agony of the time around Brooke's death, and the comfort, inspiration, and connection she's found with Brooke since. A Mother's Journey offers a message for any reader. It has opened my heart and mind, and made me a much better person--and mother. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This was a very heart warming book to read since I also lost my daughter recently and live in the same area. It was amazing how she could write this after so soon loosing her daughter. it made you smile, cry and believe that our loved ones who have passed are in a better place and that we will one day see them again. It also makes you believe that the signs they send are real and that they are always by our side helping us deal with their passing.
