Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Carrie Hane Hung
Destiny, a pony, loses the Stone of Power which protects the Lightning Herd's magic from the evil, dark horses. She runs away from Rainbow Mist Island. In an effort to find his twin sister, Comet must enter a world that is unfamiliar to him. Comet meets eleven-year-old Eleanor who is staying with Aunt Pippa. Eleanor's parents are members of an orchestra that is on tour for the summer; Eleanor's parent felt that a stay with Aunt Pippa would be more fun for Eleanor than being in a hotel room. When Eleanor meets Comet, she discovers some of his magical talents such as talking to her. The pair search the forest for glowing violet hoof prints which are signs that indicate Destiny was in the area. This book is the first in the "Magic Ponies" series that share the adventures of Comet. There are a few illustrations in each chapter. Children who enjoy fantasy stories and ponies may be motivated to read this story and the other "Magic Ponies" adventures. Reviewer: Carrie Hane Hung

    This book is AWESOME!

This book really stole my atention from my other stuff going on in my life. I didn't want to do anything except for reading. At first I hated reading, but now I would read mostly anything.(I really would only read interesting books that I know I would like.)Reading is now one of my favorite thigs to do. Right now I am reading The Magic Kingdom. It is awesome.(That really was how I had planned it to be.)
