Overview

She's city. He's Country. She just found out they have something in common. Her son!

Kimberly Burris and Travis Graham have a past. Circumstances and family caused their break-up seven years ago and both married other people. Now they're single again, and Kimberly has shocking news. DNA proves without doubt her husband is not the father of her son. That leaves only one choice. Accept the housekeeping job on Travis's ranch and pray for courage to tell him he's the father of her six-year-old son.

Travis lost his wife and son and feels he's to blame. He figures Kim won't last in the country, and he fears her city-bred son will get hurt, or worse, on his ranch. The kid appeals to Travis in a way he doesn't understand, but there are too many dangers on a ranch for a small child. So he tells Kim her boy had better stay out of the way, or they'll have to leave.

Kimberly has to decide what's best-keeping her secret from Travis and her son or taking the chance that Travis will become the father their son desperately needs.

I couldn't put down Mildred's book A New Life. Her characters are so alive. The tension between Kimberly and Travis is heated. How Travis begins to fall in love with a boy he doesn't know is his son is so warm and real. The grandma is a hoot, too! I look forward to Mildred Colvins next books.

Im loving it! Plz keep it up! And i agree with Obsidian. You need to be a little more descriptive. But youre a beginner, so youll improve with more writing! Maybe try finding a site that gives you tips and strategies for becoming a good writer. Thats how i improved! But anyways, keep up the good work, and youll get better, i promise! -Pokemon girl

Great so far, please continue. But a tip for next time, maybe try to be more descriptive so that the chapter will be longer. Also, if you need a space between lines type in: <<_>br>
It looks like this, and it's usually invisible when you post it. You can stack as many as you need, so if you want two line spaces write two <<_>br>'s.
And just a heads up, if you want me to, I'll write a character bio for you once the second chapter for this comes out.

I did enjoy the love story, caught my attention through out the book to the point that I want it to continue reading. In many ways I felt I was watching a movie so I want it to see how it ended. Mildred does repeat some things one too many times for me but was not a big negative in my case. It was worth more than the dollar I paid, so you will not feel "at all" that you've wasted your money.
