Reviewed by Kim for Read Your Writes Book Reviews Told in first person, A New Tradition tells the story of Sabrina Englehardt’s first Christmas alone. Her choice, of course. Sabrina is a MAJOR Audrey Hepburn fan. So much so that every Christmas Eve she and her friends dress up and watch Breakfast at Tiffany's. But this year, things are going to be a little different. This year, Sabrina is spending Christmas alone at her family's cabin in Connecticut while her parents are in England. Sabrina's big plan is to close a big business deal on Christmas morning and then just rest and relax. On Christmas Eve, Sabrina meets her parents' new neighbor, Wynn, who is a dreamy hunk. The two end up spending a wonderful Christmas Eve evening together. When heavy snowfall knocks out her power on Christmas morning, Sabrina turns to Wynn to help her with her lack of electricity. What transpires is a magical romance. I really liked this book a lot. However, there were some unanswered questions I'm left with. In fact, I had to read parts of the book over just to make sure I didn't miss anything. But all in all, A New Tradition is truly a feel good read. Source: Personal Purchase

First thoughts after...... Such a fun book! Can't wait for the next in the short story series! How distracted did I get? I was able to finish A New Tradition while waiting for my oldest to be released from school. This is such a fun short read it's perfect for you lunch break, waiting for kids activities/school and so on! A New Tradition is a feel good story that I'd want to read over and over again!

This is such a perfect little "feel good" short story. Sweet, romantic and fun! Perfect for getting yourself in the Christmas spirit. You will especially love it if you are a fan of Breakfast At Tiffany's and Audrey Hepburn. I laughed out loud many times and I didn't want Sabrina's story to end.

A small town romance short story, done quite well. I’m a lover of Audrey Hepburn; one of my cats has this name, and my favorite movie is “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, so this short novella was right up my alley. Mom and Dad have gone away for Christmas, so our main character, Holly Englehardt and her beloved cat, Henry are spending Christmas at the family cabin. Not to worry, one of Holly’s big clients wants to have a meeting on Christmas day via Skype, so at least she can get some work done, right? What kind of a new tradition will this turn out to be, you need to read this!

Clever concept of Audrey Hepburn sub-theme.. Sabrina is great character and very believable. Wynn is downright stupid for a successful man. Even a dunce would realize he has an 8AM appointment with a designer as she's telling him about her career and 8AM meeting on Christmas Day. But he thinks its deplorable that anyone would schedule business for then. Arrival of friends at cabins that are snowed in is equally questionable, but ending is tacked on like an entire chapter is missing!
