    Gripping, insider account!

This is a fantastically well-crafted story about moments leading up to and right after Lincoln's assination. Mr Berry has put the reader in the middle of the plot! Using historical fact, Mr Berry has woven a story that grabs you from the beginning holds your interest right up to the end. I love this book.

A Night of Horrors? Try Night of Delight for this addicted reader. John Charles Berry is a name to remember - and follow.

We need more books of this calber! It's been a long time since a novel gripped me like this. How can you put it down? I couldn't.

I could smell the dust and the sweat of fear and rage on the conspirators. What a great read!

Takes a period we all "know" (but really don't), people we only remember from a sleepy history class, events we only half recall, and mixes them brilliantly with characters most of is haven't even heard of and takes us into the minds of real people in a way that makes everyone and everything come alive.

I'll be thinking about the "Night of Horrors" long after I, reluctantly, turn the last page.
