'A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dreamspawn'

This is the 2nd novel from Black Flame based on the dream demon Freddy Krueger. I'm not gonna rehash the plot since there is already a description here. Dreamspawn doesn't have the movie feel at all like the previous novel. But with that said this is an amazing novel. Freddy appears early on, then is gone till towards the end. This is for anyone who ever felt like an outsider. The characters were great and you will wanna see them all survive. Christa Faust does one hell of a job. This is one of my favorite novels of all time. Despite not having the movie feel it turns out fine. Some people have complained about how Elm St. is now in California rather then Ohio. Originally that is where Elm St. was set, but it was never stated the in Freddy's Dead is when it's first said to be Ohio. So it was sort of a mistake in Dreamspawn, but at the sametime it wasn't. I highly recommend this book to Elm St. fans and non-Elm St. fans. Great job Christa Faust.

    Better than the last!

I loved this book as I loved the first in the series. Blackflame really got some good writers for their NoES series!

For anyone who ever felt like an outsider

A Nightmare On Elm Street Dreamspawn, is for anyone who ever felt like an outsider. However, it does show that sometimes revenge can go to far. Nonetheless, this book takes Freddy back to a more traditional role, think parts 1-3 with some sprinklings of 4 and 5. If there was any posibility of bringing Freddy back to the big screen, then they should strongly consider adapting this book! Black Flame tapped into a great thing with this. The movies may be waning, but Freddy is alive, and ready to raise hell in this book. Christa Faust, the author, proved that she was more than capable of writing to task. She wrote a better story line than the last two Freddy movies, and most definately better than Freddy vs Jason. You could tell she really did her homework, and Freddy must have let her live to tell the tale. She brings realistic characters that you can relate to, and paints a very vivid scene. When I finished the last setence of the book, I literally heard the theme music, and felt like standing up and clapping. This is the best book I have read in 2005. I plan on checking out her other books especially Control Freak because of this. Thank you Christa Faust, Freddys back again!
