Pursued by the pirate…
Bess Farrar might be an innocent village miss, but she knows enough about the world to doubt Lord Channing’s motives when he kisses her the very day they meet. After all, local gossip insists that before this dashing rake became an earl, he sailed the Seven Seas as a ruthless pirate.
Bewitched by the vicar’s daughter…
Until he unexpectedly inherits a title, staunchly honorable Scotsman Rory Beaton has devoted his adventurous life to the Royal Navy. But he sets his course for tempestuous new waters when he meets lovely, sparkling Bess Farrar. Now this daring mariner will do whatever it takes to convince the spirited lassie to launch herself into his arms and set sail into the sunset.
A Christmas marked by mayhem.
Wooing his vivacious lady, the new Earl of Channing finds himself embroiled with matchmaking villagers, an eccentric vicar, mistaken identities, a snowstorm, scandal, and a rascally donkey. Life at sea was never this exciting. The gallant naval captain’s first landlocked Christmas promises hijinks, danger, and passion – and a breathtaking chance to win the love of a lifetime.

Full of colorful characters and witty exchanges. Perfect light and fun reading.
This was a delightful light hearted story.
I enjoyed this one!
Ms. Campbell does her Christmas novellas like no other I know. They read like a full novel with humor, holiday festivities, a sensuous romance and the ups and downs of the hero’s and heroine’s courtship. Rory, a career seaman, finds himself the heir to a grand estate in Penton Wyck and when he’s settling in as the new Earl of Penton Abbey he meets the lovely Bess, an innocent vicar’s daughter. Their romance will put a song in your heart and in just the right mood for the holidays. I love Ms. Campbell’s writing style…a lot!
This is a sweet, enjoyable Christmas novella and I loved it. Anna Campbell is a wonderful author and she does not disappoint. The hero inherits an Earldom from his brother and meets the vicar's daughter when she comes to inform him that he must provide Daisy, his donkey, who is always in the town's Christmas pageant. I will not say more as this is a short, but good, read.
As has become her tradition, Anna Campbell has written a memorable and sentimental Christmas novella in A Pirate for Christmas. Full of mistletoe and mayhem this was just the kind of read to rein in the holidays. What's not to love about witty repartee, well meaning, meddling villagers and a cupid playing donkey. Endearing and charming the hero and heroine of this work are the kind of characters you cannot help liking. Love at first sight and snowflake kisses clinch the deal on this wonderful Christmas romance.
