Stefan and Andrew Valquist had a strange childhood. Their mother, who claimed to have fought as an anti-Communist insurgent back in Romania, taught them everything she knew before her death. Now grown up and working as a priest and a soldier, the brothers' world is shaken when they receive a message from an uncle they believed had been killed decades earlier. A trip back to their mother's homeland thrusts them into danger when they narrowly avoid death at the hands of mysterious assassins. Finally finding their long-lost uncle Petre becomes a window into better understanding the mother who had driven them so hard in their youth.
A beautiful and talented Romanian Intelligence agent, Aurora, helps the brothers investigate why they were attacked and soon all four are racing against time to stop an imminent attack that could destroy the newly democratic Romania itself.
Andrew and Aurora find themselves experiencing a mutual and strong attraction that they are not at luxury to explore, only adding to their tension. During the unfolding adventure, Stefan, Andrew, and Petre help each other through their feelings of grief over a tragic past and rediscover the enduring love of their unique family.
