5 star Review of A Player for a Princess (Dirty Players #2) by Tia Louise Firstly I must advise that this is not a stand-alone. You must read book 1, The Prince & The Player first as this book picks up where the first one left off. I was anxious to see what had happened to Zelda Wilder and the prince whose heart she captured MacCallum Lockwood Tate. I really loved reading the groundwork for these two in the first book and I have to say I was intrigued to see where Tia Louise took them. What a ride; I was in no way disappointed. Tia Louise has managed to surprise me again. All was not as I expected it to be; in fact I was shocked at times. The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat as I tried to second guess where Ms. Louise was going to take us next. I thoroughly enjoy her style of writing and as expected A Player for a Princess was extremely well written, with multi-dimensional characters that had me laughing and cringing at times. The tension is built almost from the start, apart or together Zelda and Cal sizzle. Will Cal be able to save Zelda? Will she accept that she too deserves her own happily ever after? A Player for a Princess had me hooked from the first page to the last and I know I cannot wait to read more from Tia Louise. Do yourselves a favour, if this series is not on your TBR list, then add it and read as soon as you can, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Without giving the story away, these are the kind of stories I like to pack in my bag and take on vacation with me! I thought book one was really good, but this book excelled in the story telling! I loved that the story did not lose steam, love the characters, really liked the fact that royalty seemed like your average Joe, approachable and love that the story brought out a combination of emotions from me! Definitely reading book 3: Kudos to the author, you wrote another really good story! Loved it!

In the sequel of The Prince & The Player, we find Zelda again running away from those who want to hurt her. While trying to outrun the danger, Zelda finds herself in her old habits with Seth though it doesn't feel the same when your life is constantly in danger. But Zee is still the same outspoken and intelligent girl we first met if only a little more aware of her surroundings and a little bit more paranoid. You have to love her determination to stay alive and protect the ones she loves. From book one, you can tell that she is a protector especially around her sister and leaving her behind might have been hard, but she did it knowing she was more protected this way. Zee is probably one of my favourite characters in this duology; she has attitude and she isn't afraid to do anything if she knows it's the right thing to do. I was happy to find her again with Cal too. As the story is more focus on the two of them, we got to see a lot more of them arguing, making up, arguing again and making up. He wants to protect her and she doesn't want him to or more likely, she doesn't want to do what he wants her to do. The two of them try to save her from the criminals wanting her dead, but it's anything but easy to do with people always one step ahead of them and who have allies just about everywhere. I loved Cal in this book though I already loved him in the first book too. He is like Zee on so many levels that its probably why sometimes, their encounters could be quite passionate. They are both strong headed people and both want things to be done their way. While Zee and Cal are reunited again, nothing is easy. Forgiveness is hard for him though he loves her so much. He is angry at her, but he wants her so much at the same time. He wants to strangle her while protecting her from every harm. Both of them are are struggling with the situation though neither can't deny the love between them. They may be wrong for each other, but love doesn't really care. Overall, this was an awesome ending to this duology. It's a quick and entertaining reading all wrapped in with love, lust and drama. These two books will keep you on your I'm still hoping to get a story about Logan (want to know who he is? Read the book :P) because he deserves something which is why I'm really hoping that the author will grant me my wish.

Zelda Wilder has made a mistake. She knows better than to let anything get in the way of her con, but he did. McCallum Lockwood Tate slipped right through her defenses, and now Zelda is not only running from the people that want her dead, she's running from her feelings for Cal. Every single interaction between Zelda and Cal is sizzling. Cal knows now what Zee is all about, and, although he's angry that she played him, stole his heart, and ran, he can't stay away. Zelda is torn, knowing that she and Cal are completely wrong for each other, but unable to forget him. I love the interactions between the two of them, and watching them fall, in typical Tia Louise fashion, when they know that they shouldn't. The action in A PLAYER FOR A PRINCESS flows right from the ending of THE PRINCE AND THE PLAYER, so reading them in order is a great idea. 4.5 hot, suspenseful, uber-sexy stars for this one. They will grab you and suck you in, and, before you know it, you'll have fallen love with Tia all over again.

A Player for a Princess is an absolutely sizzling sensation! It will lure you into a fabulously luxurious world that is constantly standing on the edge of a knife. Theirs is a hard fought life that depends upon a frightfully delicate balance that teeters between being happy and being safe. Royal life in this country will make you think twice no matter who you fall in love with. However, the burning passion, the undeniable love, and the life altering hope that you find will leave you with no choice at all. This story will whisk you away and test all of our boundaries while it brazenly consumes you piece by irresistible piece. Zelda is drowning between her old life and the new one that she desperately wants. However, she knows the score. She isn’t cut out for the elegant, stifling world that Cal and Rowan belong to. In her heart, that’s not for her no matter how badly she longs to be with Cal. Cal isn’t one to be deterred from what he wants, and he wants Zelda in his arms and his life indefinitely. He won’t take no for an answer no matter what pitiful excuse his beautiful little con artist comes up with. She is his end of story. Will a deadly threat to his country and his family prove to be the one thing that can keep Cal from his heart, or can even a royal family being held together by a fragile thread prove that love is the most powerful force on Earth? While I loved Cal before, this story brought to center stage his true heart and his limitless capacity to love and care for those he treasures. There was nothing that would stop him from keeping Zelda in his life, and he proved that time and time again. There is truly nothing that Zelda could use to fight against Cal’s overtaking of her heart. He completely consumed her and she needed and deserved that more than anything. She needed to be taken care of after looking after Ava for all of those years. She could now focus on her own happiness which I so longed for her to take hold of and finally accept. What an incredibly breathtaking couple! Tia Louise has proven without a doubt that she is a true master of the romance genre. She has forever cemented her spot in the place of the elite among the wildly gifted authors of our time. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to experience and savor each of her stories that I had read. They are game changers in this industry, and each one tests my heart, my imagination, and my very soul in stretching beyond who I am and into someone that I want to become. Tia has touched my life in a way that I can’t truly explain, and I will never be able to thank her adequately.

You know how older TV series started with "Last seen on...". Well, here you go. That minor cliff that Ms. Louise left the reader on The Prince and The Player, well get ready to pick up some speed and go on a ride with Zelda and Cal. If you didn't get the clue, yes - you must read book 1 first. Its rather important and don't be a serial book jumper. Fist bump! Yes! I loved secondary characters Zelda and Cal in book 1 so couldn't wait for book 2. And Boy did Tia Louise deliver on everything you expect from her stories and a bit more. You got HOT times, two strong characters not willing but oh so ready for a HEA and... some suspense & intrigue. Yep. No spoilers here. However, for Cal and Zee to get a HEA, there are nefarious people who stand in their way. Ms Louise keeps you turning the page for entertaining read to see "how will they get out of this?" My recommendation is for those readers who like a Cinderella finds her Prince Charming not so easily. There are hiccups and hurdles along the way but just enough steamy scenes to keep your imagination on HOT! If you are a first time reader, read book 1 - just must be read in order. If you've read book 1, this is a satisfying conclusion for the storyline. 4.25 out of 5.0 stars

This is the conclusion to the Dirty Players Duet and it starts right where the last book finished. Zelda is back with Seth working casino scams because she needs to be as far away as possible from her sister and Cal, that is the only way to keep them safe. The problem is Cal wants her and he won't take no for an answer so he tracks her down and that's when he real trouble begins .... Zelda doesn't believe she deserves a happy ever after and after all it was her sister who found herself real live Prince Charming and all Zelda has ever wanted was for her sister to be happy and safe. I don't want to give to much of this story away you need to read it to find out what happens but I will tell you this book is full of twists and turns, it's romantic and sexy, it will make you laugh and make you cry and at times it will make you angry. Cal is so hot and Zelda is a strong fun heroine that is sexy and sassy. Loved the characters and loved the book Tia Louise gives us another fantastic series
