Overview

Andrew Hamilton grew up in a family where his father was a known womanizer. He watched his father disrespect his mother on a consistent basis in the presence of friends and family. Jesse Hamilton, Andrew's father, was not much of a role model to Andrew or his siblings. He never spent a lot of time with them or provided for them. But he had plenty of time to spend with other women and hang out with his drinking buddies. His family was second class citizens and was not top priority to him.

Doreen Hamilton, Andrew's mother, was a church-going Christian who tried to keep her family together. The harder she tried the more Jesse put her down. She could not do anything right. Doreen's family and friends tried to get her to leave him, but she was determined to stick with her marriage for better or for worse.

Andrew took up football to pass the time away while in school and became one of the best running backs to come out of high school. He was an all-state football star. He was exceptionally good, and major universities were interested in signing him to a full athletic football scholarship.

His father was always busy doing other things, so he never came to any of his games. Jesse thought it was a waste of time and boring. Andrew vowed that he would never be like his father. He did not want to be the type of man who was a womanizing dog that did not care about anybody but himself. He promised that he would never disrespect or mistreat women. But he became a product of the environment that his father introduced him to. Andrew inherited his father's womanizing player ways and became what he hated most about him-hence "A Player's Inheritance."

A Player's Inheritance was a great read. I enjoyed it because it is a real story about how relationships are not always black and white. It explores the very gray areas we as human beings find ourselves in at one time or another. I would recommend this book not only because it is a excellent read but also it will help you to examine yourself and others that you are in relationships with. Mr Brown cant wait for the next book to see how Andrew has evolved.

So many times men have found themselves in the situations that the main character Andrew found himself in. Just as so many times women have found themselves in the same situations as well. The beauty of this book is that we can all step back and take a look at the mistakes made in this book and hopefully learn from them. I cant wait to read more from Anthony Maurice Brown. Thank you for sharing your work with all of us!

I was very pleased with this book. The main character was someone who was looking for love but like so many young men, just couldn't settle for just one good woman. This book had you wondering what would happen next and though Andrew was a womanizer you couldn't help but like him. There were many good parts in this book that made me laugh and and say Lord have mercy. Women will get a good idea of whats really going on with some men and men may see a little or a lot of themselves.

This book is Wonderful. It shows how a man can be devious but yet has a heart. Women would love this book and men might hate it because it shows the feeling of a man that might be a player with a sensitive side Anthony is telling the ladies men really care but don¿t know how to show it sometimes. Ladies let me tell you-you what stop reading A Player¿s Inheritance. Anthony I am waiting for the next book.
