Overview

A Proper Introduction to the Four Aces: Heart and Soul is an excellent 25-track collection of the vocal group's original recordings, beginning with the 1951 debut hit "(It's No) Sin" and continuing through the majority of the group's early Decca singles, such as "Stranger in Paradise," "Three Coins in the Fountain," "La Rosita," "Mister Sandman," and "Wedding Bells (Are Breaking Up That Old Gang of Mine)." Since this compilation ends at 1954, the chart-topping movie theme "Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing," released in 1955, is omitted. Even so, Heart and Soul contains just about everthing else you could want from this smooth harmony vocal group.
