Keith McLaren has worked the waters of North America for over thirty-five years, from offshore supply boats and drill rigs to coast guard ships and deep-sea freighters. He spent two seasons sailing on the Bluenose II, and the experience inspired him to write his first book, Bluenose and Bluenose II. He is currently a captain for BC Ferries and lives on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
