Overview

Perfect for fans of Lauren Kate's Fallen series and Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush saga, this darkly romantic story that began with A Beautiful Dark and gathered intensity in A Fractured Light comes to a thrilling conclusion in A Radiant Sky.

Since the night of her seventeenth birthday, Skye has been torn between two opposites: light and dark, the Order and the Rebellion, Devin and Asher. But in a shocking decision, she chose neither. With the help of her friends, Skye now forges her own path, setting out to gather an uprising of Rogues. These half-angels may be the key to maintaining the balance. But completing the mission is more difficult—and dangerous—than she could have imagined. And it comes at a cost: her greatest love may now be a lethal enemy. Because it's not just the Order that sees her as a threat. The Rebellion does, too. Dark days lie ahead, and if Skye is to survive, she'll need to rely on her extraordinary powers and the strength of her will. Because she has a future—and a love—that's worth fighting for.

Kirkus Reviews
Romance trumps action even during the final battle to save the world in this trilogy closer. At 17, Skye learned she was the daughter of two angels, one a Guardian and one a Rebel, giving her supernatural powers beyond any ever before seen. Now in conflict with both factions, she and her friends unite to try to forge a new way and keep the universe in balance. Sadly, both of her heartthrobs, former Guardian Devin and Asher, now both in the Rebel camp, oppose her, even though they all still have to attend high school together. Skye tracks down two other Rogue angels, one with a cute little daughter named Earth, and the group sets out to prepare for the epic battle and for another important event: prom. When that heroic battle occurs, Davies keeps her focus more on romance than on the action, interrupting the battle numerous times for conversations explaining the participants' emotions, decisions and sudden romantic realizations; Asher reaches full Harlequin eloquence in his final speech to Skye. In the closing pages, Skye makes a final, major choice that indeed should fully end the trilogy. Skye, Devin and Asher come across as standard-issue romance heroes, but a few of the minor characters achieve some nice individuality, especially Earth. For romance fans only, who should enjoy it. (Paranormal romance. 12 & up)

I love this series and i have read it about 5 times. This book is for people you loved the hush, hush saga and anyone who likes books about angel fiction. As regards to the end, i have a few problems. Why didnt she use her healing powers to save anyone who was hurt? Aside from that note, i think this is an amazing book and i recommend it to everyone.

Radiant Sky is a fitting and good end to this series. I enjoyed it and was taken on the ride right along with Skye. It was so hard to see Skye chose against the man she loves in order to do what is right, where her heart is leading her, and what her parents fought and sacrificed for. Her and Asher's hearts were so hurt and broken and that was emotional to read about. One thing though that I didn't understand is why Asher couldn't have chosen silver and to follow her. It was awesome though how there were steamy moments that sustained me and as usual made my heart beat faster.  I loved Earth, she was a great new character. She was fleshed out well and smart beyond her years. There was also an old character who turned out to be a unlikely alliance and I was surprised how much I grew to like her and what she contributed to the story. Cassie is a welcomed relief in the comedic area. Though she was serious when she needed to be, her loyalty and character shined through.  The ending wrapped everything up really well, though I didn't like who ended up dying.  Bottom Line: Good series ending.

I thought the series ended fairly well. The story was an easy read but it seemed like it took forever to get to the good stuff. There was a lot of back and forth with what Skye was supposed to do and it took her too long to put the clues together. Skye pretty much accomplished what she wanted; with her powers, her love life, with the angel war, and with her future. Her powers are awesome and I wish I could do what she did! I was super happy that her friends still had a major part in the book. I think them being in it made the story much better. If they weren't, I think it would have been hard to continue because Skye was a little drab at times. I do wish the ending was a little different though. It was great leading up to it but it felt anticlimactic when it came to the conclusion of the story. It was over too quickly. I don't know, I did like the story and thought it ended satisfactory.

After i spent half the night vomiting and then learning the truth of my pregnancy, i was most worried about school. I pulled on a soft white sweater and my favorite black jeggings. A warm spicy smell drifted in through the vents in my room. I stood in front of the bathroom mirror looking at my reflection. My belly was slightly swollen and already stretching out my sweater. I had just finished my makeup and was pulling on my waterproof snow boots when i felt something move. I gently put my hand on my stomach and gasped softly at the soft fluttery movements inside me. "Hang in there. You'll be okay." I whispered to the baby and myself. I stared at myself in the mirror now more determined than ever to protect the baby. I went out into the hallway and paused on the landing when i heard hushed voices. "I promised her that i wouldn't let anything or anyone touch her but now I've ruined everything. She is in more danger than ever and i would never forgive myself if i said something that could possibly get her so upset that she loses the baby." Asher spoke urgently. I stood closer to the railing. I accidentally stepped on a creaky floorboard and froze. The voices paused. I retreated back to my room and quickly pulled off my shoes. I picked up my phone and called Cassie. It went straight to her voicemail. There was a soft knock at my door. "Skye?" Asher's tone wasn't really asking but i answered him anyway. "You can come in." I waved him in. He shut the door and within 2 seconds I was wrapped in his arms trying so hard not to cry. Asher handled me like i was a delicate figurine that he wanted so much but didn't want to break me. His movements were so soothing and gentle that i finally let go and burst into tears. "I love you Skye." He murmered in my ear and kissed me carefully. Enlocked in the kiss, his hands roamed my body and stopped when he reached my stomach. I broke away first. "We are going to be late for school." I whispered. Asher's devilish grin spread across his face. "We aren't going to school." He said. His grin faded and was replaced by a sudden tenderness in his eyes. "Skye, i swore i would protect you with my life but now i swear that i am going to protect you and the baby at all costs."

I absolutely love this trilogy and it made me cry when Skye chose her blood over Asher.

The beggining of this book started great but I'm so-so with the ending Skye choice I'm unhappy about and think the ending could have been written better after all of the last books left me wanting more. I have to say if there was going to be another book in the seris I wouldn't read it
