Overview

The second piece of the Derrick Storm trilogy from #1 New York Times bestselling author Richard Castle, available exclusively as an eBook short. Days after being brought out of retirement to investigate a kidnapping, Derrick Storm has a dead US senator on his hands, an assassin to track down, and nearly six billion dollars' worth of gold bars--hidden by the Communist Party somewhere in the former USSR--to uncover. Teaming up again with FBI agent April Showers, Storm must talk to Ivan Petrov, a secretive millionaire who has ties to the assassination, coordinates for the gold, and a mole leaking information to the Russian government from within his inner circle. And while the CIA mission is getting heated, it's nothing compared to the growing sexual tension between Storm and Showers...

This is only a teaser to get you to buy a book due out in Aug 2012, another of B&N's misleading "good deals." If it had been a real book, it would have rated at least three stars.

Hate the teaser 'few chapters' issues. I won't buy the rest on principle, and try to avoid these.

I was very disappointed that I paid $1.99 for a book that is only 25 pgs long. I will be very careful in the future before I purchase a book. I know it was my fault.

Nice read until I got to the part about wanting to find out what happens next, wait for the conclusion in the next book! I didn't know it was a comic book. A short story is supposed be a short WHOLE story. I purchased this to see if I liked the author as much as the TV series. Too bad! I don'like being hoodwinked! I will bypass all Richard Castle books from now on. Do yoursellf a favor B&N. Let the readers know when a story is not complete.

This was a good story but I didn't realize that it was a short story. Now I am looking for the next one which I believe will be a continuation of the first. Not sure why the two aren't together in one book.

You have to watch B&N. This is not a book! It is the first part of a serialization - about 70 pages of text. Not bad but I feel very misleading and since we have no idea of how many more "books" it will take to finish we have no idea of the eventual cost.

This is not a book. It is not even a complete short story. You have to buy the next book, "A Bloody Storm" to get the end of the story. It was a very great disappointment.

Although I clicked on the book and not the sample, I received the sample and when I tried to get the book I received a message informing me that I already had this book. What do I have to do to get the book I ordered?

I was inspired to get a Richard Castle book because of the TV series that I enjoy watching. Both books were more like a short story but suspenseful and quick moving. Easy reading. The thing I didn't particularly care for was one book leads into another. So you have to purchase the next book in order to complete the previous story.

I'm a huge Castle fan, so when I found the Derrick Storm series for the nook I just had to get it. They are as awesome as the Nikki Heat series. It's definitely a must read. ¿
