A Rake's Redemption, the sequel to Rosalinda's Revenge, is easily read as a standalone. I haven't read the first book and followed the story perfectly. Yes, this is a sweet romance between two unlikely people but what makes A Rake's Redemption extra special is the secondary characters. Timothy Bumble, Harry's verbose valet, especially. He is so skillfully written I felt I knew him. Knew him and adored him. His antics had me laughing. 3 ANGELS
A Rake's Redemption is a pleasant change from the more steamy regency romances, and makes me long for more of the traditional regencies, that are seldom published anymore. I greatly enjoyed the characters in this book, especially Harry, whose outward appearance as a rake, hid a compassionate, caring man. A Rake's Redemption is recommended for the reader nostalgic for traditional regency romances.
