Overview

New York Times bestselling author Stephanie Rowe delivers a heartwarming new series set in Rogue Valley, Wyoming, home to the Stockton brothers, a clan of fiercely loyal and honorable men, and the women who touch the hearts of these rugged, loner cowboys.

The only reason rancher Chase Stockton and his brothers survived their brutal childhood was because they protected each other. Nothing will ever come between them...until a sudden tragedy calls in a life debt Chase can't ignore, forcing him to make a choice that could destroy the very bonds that hold his family together.

Mira Cabot has never asked for help, but when a sexy, protective cowboy makes her an offer she can't afford to refuse, she finds herself on her way to Wyoming to be the shotgun bride of a man she has every reason...and no reason...to trust.

The sizzling connection between Mira and Chase turns a rescue mission into something dangerously addictive, one that could either heal two broken hearts, or shatter them forever.

Having money does make the man. In this storyline fathers treated their sons with abuse and that abuse tainted their lives. The story's focus was getting acquainted to the cowboy fsmily. It is not a cliffhanger.

This was my first Stephanie Rowe novel but it sure won't be my last!! Warning however....you'll want to have some hankies on hand. Ms. Rowe wrings every ounce of emotion from her strongly written heroes. This is a wonderful tale of healing and romance. Absolutely loved it!

I got this book for free and thought why not give it a shot and am I glad I did!!!! First of all I love cowboys stories. Secondly, romance with a bit of drama/action. This book had all of it plus some nice steamy love scenes ! I look forward to reading more in this series!

## SO-SO. This book never reached its potential. It could've been so good. I get it. These men are damaged. Their FATHER abused them regularly, yet they hate WOMEN. Because their step mothers weren't great? Who ever likes their step moms? The wrath these brothers bring down on Mira just for existing was ridiculous. And Chase changed his mind, what? 17 times? Jeez, talk about indecisive! What a wuss. The brothers are pissed because they want him to keep the ranch [which incidentally belongs to Chase] woman free INCASE they decide ever to show up? They haven't shown up in 5 years! Pffft. Absolutely absurd. And I cringed when the heroine asks the hero if he loves her desperately after 3 weeks when the whole thing started as a business deal. Of course he said no. It's been THREE WEEKS. Stay, go, stay, go.....it drove me insane. I won't be buying the others in this series.

The characters flip flopped way too much for me, completely annoying. Just couldn't enjoy it

Powerful. A tear jerker in a good way. Not sad tears, but emotional ones. I loved this story and am so looking forward to the next in the series. Strong men with deep emotional scars that only a strong woman can help them heal. Mira Cabot and Chase Stockton have know each other for ten years but never actually met. It was their best friend that they had in common. Now that AJ is gone and his powerful father is a threat to Mira, Chase puts Mira under his protection. His instinct says it's the right thing to do. Chase's brothers won't understand, but Chase can't seem to resist her and it feels so right to have her in his arms. An emotional, heart touching romance.

First time reading this author, and I really enjoyed her writing. This is a sweet love story full of confused emotion and mixed loyalties. Chase and Mira have a tough time, but they are made for eachother. The Stockton brothers are bitter and damaged, understandably so. It will take a good, strong, patient woman to set their lives to right. Looking forward to reading the next book.

Mira has a hard time accepting the events of her life, along with kindness and caring friends. Why she feels it necessary to tell people who the biological father of her child is seems ridiculous. I kept reading to see when she will see the "light".

Chase and Mira have major issues to work through from their past. But their strength and devotion to family and each other makes their bond all worth while. Love this book can't wait to read each of the brothers stories. They will be well worth reading.

I love a good romance. Well developed characters you can love or hate. Interesting plot line. A little mystery. Some intrigue. I'm trying to enjoy this book but it needs some editing. Storyline gaffs that take you out of the story makes it hard to re-engage. In one part of the narrative she's in flip-flop and then she's kicking off her heels. When did she change her shoes? Writing a book is a tremendous task and writing a good book should be something to be proud of. Be proud people. Get a good editor.

I dont usually read these types of stories, but I got hooked. People healing each others hearts is satisfying to read about. It has more sex than i care for, but otherwise its a solid story.

I know it was free but, would be worth buying. A little slow in places, which allowed for good plot build. Great dialogue all around.
