    Short but entertaining

A 'Respectable' short story. A light action/adventure, nothing Earth-shattering, but still fun.

    Good Short Story

This is a good short story, coming in around 20 pages. If you think about it, it has about as much of a plot background as a lot of genre novels in this vein. It just leaves out the details and embellishing incidents, kind of like a good synopsis for a novel.

    Worth the read

Short but enough to give you a taste. Had the flavor of Firefly/Serenity

    Its ok.

Its ok. A little short. The story was a bit hard to follow and the characters could have been developed more to make a more interesting read. Interesting ideas, though.

Worth reading but not a great read.

As a free story it was worth reading but I found too many gaps in the plot to be considered a great story.

Reads like a good TV episode of Serenity.

Short. That is its main problem.

    Good idea, weak execution

The premise is good, but the pacing is off. Too much time spent on set up so the resolution comes from nowhere too quickly.

    Kind of like Serenity.

It was pretty good, but I think this type of story needs to be longer to develop the characters more.

    more from this reviewer

Not usually a fan of shorter books...

But i have to say i could make an exception for this one... Just enough character description to go with a quick story with a twist to make it a solid read.

    Good read!

Good characters and ok plot for the length of the story. Would read more with these characters. Great start to universe building.
