Editorial Reviews

Blogspot.com - Jodie Moore

This series has some of the best cliffhangers at the end of each section. I just can't stand waiting to find out what happens in the next one!

This series, A Lancaster County Saga (The Discovery) is a wonderful 6 part series.   They can be read quickly and I have fallen in love with the characters.  I will tell you that I have a hopeful feeling as I read Wanda Brunstetter's words.  She is so descriptive with her writing that I feel as though I am transported to the Lancaster, Pennsylvania Amish community and I am getting a "mini-vacation".   I did not even have to pack my bags, just my kindle!  This series has made me reflect on times when I have also had both disappointments and grief, as well as joy and peace.

She is one of the best authors who write about the Amish I have read. I have a special place in my heart for Wanda. This book is a GREAT book and a fast read also. I just love Wanda Brunstetter?s books. She is GREAT. I hope that you will pickup this book soon and read it. It is a short story and it moves really fast. I would definitely suggest this book to my family and friends.

As usual, Wanda Brunstetter gives her readers an awesome story to read, leaving a hunger for more of her stories. If you enjoy Amish fiction, this one is a must for you. It is a short story, and will give you several hours of enjoyment. And I suggest that you pick up the other five books in the series as well and read them all together!

I really enjoyed the book. The cliff hanger at the end keeps you in suspense until the next book. I can feel myself in the book and seeing the everyday lives of the characters. I really enjoyed the book.

I actually have delayed writing my reviews because I enjoyed them too much and wanted to savor the story by musing over it and thinking about what to write!

I’m looking forward to reading how Wanda Brunstetter works everything out in the last novella of this series.
Fresh Fiction - Susan Dyer

Wanda does a wonderful job of describing the Amish way of life and their traditions. This series has a way of making you think about tragedy and grief and how you would handle or did handle it.

4 STARS Last night around 10:30pm I decided to start A Revelation in Autumn. I was only going to read a chapter or two, for the cliffhanger ending at Discovery #4. Bad mistake I know me better. Soon it was 1:30 am and I had finished Discovery #6 A Vow for Always. I still wanted more of these characters! So yes I liked this story. But I would rather have it all at once not one part every month maybe one a day even. This story is good. I love Meredith and Luke. This is not a stand alone book but the same book coming out a section at a time. You want to read it in order. Book 5 opens with Meredith having her baby inside a Amish buggy with only her younger sister Laurie. It starts strong and I could not put it down. Jonah finally admits to his family that he loves Meredith and wants to court her after her year of mourning is up. Laurie is planning her marriage. She is not going to be baptized Amish. Luke is healing and remembering little things as he gets stronger and healthier. He is growing feelings to Susan but he dares not say anything till he finds out if he is married or where he belongs. Susan's feelings are strong for Eddie(Luke) but she wants to wait to say anything till he remembers the life he has lost. I have enjoyed reading this series of Discovery by Wanda and look forward to reading more of her books in the future. I was given this ebook to read and asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley. Expected publication: June 1st 2013 by Barbour Books 128 pages ISBN:1620291460

This series is a wonderful and loving read by Wanda Brunstetter. A son is born, Eddie regains his memory, and Meredith is torn about her feelings. The read was done in 2 hours and I can't wait for the final story.

I AM ACTUALLY READING THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW. iT IS A EXCELLENT BOOK AS WELL AS ALL OF WANDA'S BOOKS. THE ONLY THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS THE FACT THAT IT CAME IN SIX PARTS. EACH BOOK WAS A LITTLE OVER 100 PAGES. i GOT THESE BOOKS FROM MY LIBRARY, OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE NEVER READ IT. IT WOULD HAVE COME TO $30.00 SOME DOLLARS IF I HAD PURCHASED EACH INSTALLMENT.

I LOVE this series, but then again I love everything by Wanda. Meredith has her baby in her buggy on her way home from church with her sister and Jonah's help! Jonah has expressed his feelings for Meredith. Luke is starting to remember certain things from his past. While Susan and Luke have feelings for each other, Luke cannot act on then until her remembers his past. I love how the whole series is based on both Meredith and Luke, while other series each book is based on a certain character. Con is the books were 50 to 60 pages and about $5 a piece! So basically that is $5 for two hours of reading...

Hard To Put Down! Meredith is worrying about finances.  Will she have enough money scraped up to pay taxes when they are due?  While she still misses Luke she knows she must get on with her life.  Should she move home with her parents and rent out her house?   Is that the answer to bringing in extra money? Jonah is still hoping to win Meredith's heart.  Should he let her know how he feels about her?  Is it time to ask Meredith if he can court her? This book ended with another cliffhanger!  I can't wait to read A Vow for Always, the last part of this saga.  I hope it ends the way I want it too! This is a book you don't want to miss!

My Review:  This series, A Lancaster County Saga (The Discovery) is a wonderful 6 part series.   They can be read quickly and I have fallen in love with the characters.  What is hard is that, not only do I like Miriam and Luke, I also like Susan and Anne and their grandparents.  I can not tell you much about the actual plot of the story as it would ruin this for readers who have not read this far. How can those coincide?  Read the book, A Revelation in Autumn, along with the other 5 parts to the saga to find out for yourself.    I received a complementary pdf version of this book from netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
