Bilby has done a spendid job of demonstrating the evolution and importance of the repeating rifle in military history. The major emphasis is the American Civil War and the integration of repeaters into the tactics of that conflict. Along with that content the reader is treated to short biographical sketches of many of the key players in the repeater's development and application. Great stuff and highly recommended to readers interested in Civil War weaponery and tactics or those interested in firearms history. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
