A RULE OF QUEENS is Book #13 in the Bestselling series THE SORCERER'S RING, which begins with A QUEST OF HEROES (book #1).

In A RULE OF QUEENS, Gwendolyn leads the remains of her nation in exile, as they sail into the hostile harbors of the Empire. Taken in by Sandara's people, they try to recover in hiding, to build a new home in the shadows of Volusia.

Thor, determined to rescue Guwayne, continues with his Legion brothers on his quest far across the sea, to the massive caves that herald the Land of the Spirits, encountering unthinkable monsters and exotic landscapes.

In the Southern Isles, Alistair sacrifices herself for Erec--and yet an unexpected twist might just save them both.

Darius risks it all to save the love of his life, Loti, even if he must face the Empire alone. But his conflict with the Empire, he will find, is just beginning. And Volusia continues her rise, after her assassination of Romulus, to consolidate her hold on the Empire and become the ruthless queen she was meant to be.

Will Gwen and her people survive? Will Guwayne be found? Will Alistair and Erec live? Will Darius rescue Loti? Will Thorgrin and his brothers survive?

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A RULE OF QUEENS is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

Book #14 in the series--AN OATH OF BROTHERS--is now also available!

"Grabbed my attention from the beginning and did not let go....This story is an amazing adventure that is fast paced and action packed from the very beginning. There is not a dull moment to be found."

I don't think I have ever read a series with more inconsistancy. In book 12 I read about a someone who died several books before! You can almost excuse that as well maybe after so much time had gone by the author forgot that he was dead, but in book 13 I read about a character who's footwear changed 3 times in the same paragraph! These are but a few of the many. The editing was so poorly done that many times I have had to go over a sentance more than once to try and figure out what word is either missing or does not belong. It is sad because the series has great potential.

I am currently on the 13th book in this series and I am still waiting for it to get better! Why have I read this far in, you ask??? Because I am a reader that once I start something, no matter how bad, I will always wonder what ended up happening with the characters. The writing in this is horrible! Like it was written by a child. If I have to read that a character was in "respect and awe" one more time, I will scream!!! It was bad enough that she used that phrase over & over & over again regarding the characters, but when she used it to describe the landscape of a realm too, I almost threw my nook against the wall & stomped on it!!! I could go on and on but I will leave it with DO NOT GET THIS SERIES EVEN IF IT IS FREE!!!

This series is quite possibly the worst I've ever read. I would say that they seem to be written by a 5th grader, but that would be insulting to the fifth graders out there. To call these books is not s fisr description, each one is basically a short story being sold off piece meal in order to make more $$. Don't waste your time or your money on these. I gave them one star, but they don't even deserve that. Very, very poorly written.

I finished this book the same night I received it!  She kept me guessing about what will happen to the characters and I found myself thinking "Wow, I didn't see that coming", throughout the book.  I'm looking forward to the next installment and I'm going to re-read the series again from the start. Great Work Morgan...Bring on the next!!

I simply can't understand the reviews with 5 stars. Still not sure why I'm still reading this series. It's so poorly written and inconsistent, I'm finding it very difficult to go on. Repetition of phrases, time line questionable, very badly edited and a never ending story. Too bad because it could have been a pretty good series if it was cut down to about a third of the pages. I see there are still a few more books. Not sure if I'll continue. Check out Ms Rice's facebook page. If she says "I'm thrilled to announce . . ." one more time, I think I will vomit! Ine star because I can't post without it.

Also I took the liberty...if you read the kingdom story...of giving you a last name..I hope its ok....if you could could you go and seal the first res just say in title : Seal of Approval...then it review part put your full title..which I made ...... So Says Queen Scarlet Trakand of House Trakand Ruler of Andor Keeper of the Lion Throne Captain of the Guard...........then could you pit in parenthesis (ps. Under no circumstances are you aloud to write in this result...to sign up speak to me in the Queens Court and then if I approve of your proffesion and titles you may post your Biography).........I yhink you can just copy paste that depending on what nook you have...but that would really help....I also made a bn account to pit the titles of res. So you can type mel
