    A good read

    Scent of Diamonds takes the reader on an adventure through Mexico on the trail of a formula for man-made diamonds. Heroine Tyla Winters, part of a tour group, finds herself involved in a mystery involving intrigue, Federales, dead bodies and never knowing if it a friend or enemy around every corner.
    On a quest to help a friend, who is one of the first victims, Tyla ventures through authentic Mexican shops, churches and the Guadalajara jail, where she is in danger and considered a suspect at every turn.
    Prayer books, extra-curricular relationships, government agents, a mystery man with canine companions, friends and foes make for a good read.
    One smart cookie, the heroine outsmarts the villains, and lives find adventures another day. A good read for the mystery buff. Plot, characters and storyline development lead the way from beginning to end. I would recommend this book and others by Dorothy Skarles
