After Federal Judge Frank Johnson, noted civil rights lawyer Dees is the ``second most hated man in Alabama.'' As he admits in this brash and boastful autobiography, ``you've got to be doing something good to get so many folks mad at you.'' The grandson of a Klansman, he used the proceeds from the sale of a successful business to co-found the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama. Dedicated to fighting racial injustice, Dees won such notable cases as the desegregation of the Montgomery YMCA and the defense of Joan Little, a black woman accused of murdering her white jailer after he raped her. With the creation of Klanwatch in 1980, he fought the Klu Klux Klan in the courts, triumphing in the 1987 landmark civil suit that bankrupted the KKK and that gave its headquarters to the mother of a lynching victim. While Dees's self-congratulatory tone can be off-putting, his description of his Alabama childhood and his growing realization that segregation was an evil that had to be destroyed makes this book a necessary purchase for all libraries.     Time for Change

    Racism has existed in our nation for hundreds of years. As years go by, times change, and new laws are enforced Morris Dee's a lawyer for the protection of Racial discrimination is their to protect the rights and freedoms in hope that a society will one day become a society of peace and equal liberty for all whom desire life, liberty, and a pursuit of happiness. In the book A Season for Justice, an autobiography written by Morris Dees and co-author Steve Fiffer focuses on various cases of racial discrimination Morris Dees' has encountered first hand. The cases vary, they rang anywhere from small hate crimes to racism in the judicial system. The book starts off with Morris Dees the main charter as a child being taught by his parents. They teach him their views, beliefs, and sense of all humans being equal. As the book continues it tells the reader about the discrimination that exists everyday in the United States and how Morris Dees works to help protect the rights of all races. He eventually opens up his own law firm and names it the Southern Poverty Law Center, basing it on cases of racial issues and discrimination.
    While reading A Season of Justice one of the major themes throughout the book was justice. Morris Dees works to help create an environment that is friendly to every person in the USA. He does not look at the color of your skin or if you're a legal immigrant he is here to ensure that everyone has a good life, is respected, and can pursue their own sort of happiness. A Season for Justice is a good book but, it seems as if the same message is displayed just in different ways and different cases and tends to become a bit boring.
