Introducing the Sinful Scoundrels...

The Earl of Bellingham is nothing is not a creature of habit: money, meals, and mistresses must be strictly managed if a man is to have a moment's peace. It's a system that works splendidly for him--until now. With his oldest and dearest friends succumbing, one by one, to wedded bliss, Bell is now restless and a trifle lonely. Enter the Sinful Scoundrels--Colin Brockhurst, Earl of Ravenshire, and Harry Norcliffe, Viscount Evermore--who drag him back into society and draw his rakish eye to the ton's new beautiful young widow. Bell isn't after a wife, but a challenge. And Laura Davenport should fit the bill quite nicely...

Meet the Author

Vicky Dreiling is a confirmed historical romance junkie and Anglophile. Frequent business trips to the United Kingdom allowed her to indulge her passion for all things Regency England. Bath, Stonehenge, and Spencer House are among her favorite places. She is, however, truly sorry for accidentally setting off a security alarm in Windsor Castle. That unfortunate incident led her British colleagues to nickname her Trouble.

When she's not writing, Vicky enjoys reading, films, concerts, and, most of all, long lunches with friends. A native Texan, she holds degrees in English literature and marketing.

I have enjoyed the rest of the books in the series and this should be good too, but nowhere did it say when I bought it that it was not a full book or even a complete story. Very disappointed I paid for this.

Why were we not warned that it was not a completed book?

This is a prequel advertised as a complete book. The problem is the deception with the advertising. We are led to believe this is a complete story not a teaser. This is no more than an incomplete sample that should have been free. Due to this devious attempt to garner money, I will remove this author from my reading list.

I am extremly unhappy with this purchase. The was only the first 6 chapters of a book and not even ine with the same title. Nor did the excerpt provide a meaningful self contiained work that could stand alone when seperated from the full book. I feel like i wad charged for what would otherwise have been the free sample. I really want my money back.

I purchased this book via my Nook. At no time did I see anything to indicate that this was not an entire book. Obviously this has happened to many other people. This is a sham and I want my money back. Shame on you Barnes and Nobel. If you had honestly given this portion of the book away free I would have gladly purchased this book in full. You will loose customers quickly if you rip us off a lousy dollar at a time! Any 3 & 5 star ratings for this book are obvious plants.

It seems like the second half of the book is missing, What happened?

I regret purchasing this book. Wish I read the reviews first, don't waste your money on an incomplete story.

Do not buy this item wait for a real book. I think no stars is the right rating

This is not a complete or even semicomplete book. It is a preview, and not worth paying for.

This book abruptly ended just when it was getting good. I have enjoyed this series and this was a real bummer. I hope I get to finish reading Bell's story sometime

ABOUT THE BOOK: The Earl of Bellingham is nothing is not a creature of habit: money, meals, and mistresses must be strictly managed if a man is to have a moment's peace. This isn’t a novella, it’s not even a short story, it’s pretty much a prelude to a different book all together. I was a bit disappointed when this happened as I genuinely dedicate myself to the story and found it cut off so quick. Outside of that, the character development was nice. I do like the buildup Ms. Dreiling does with everyone and found the secondary characters lively. I see how she could potentially wrap everyone together in a potential series. It was nicely done. What I didn’t like was at times, the background and inner thoughts seemed to go on for pages and it became where I was skimming the story. I realized what I was doing, stopped, and went back to read it again. This piece could have really just been included in a novel done very well. Instead, it leaves a reader feel let down and jested. Again, bummer. Three out of five stars due to the abrupt ending but I do hope to read the finishing story.

Disappointed really like this author. By the time this book is published (spring 2013) I will probably will not be interested in reading it anymore. Sorry but this is not the way to keep readers interested in anything you publish!! Rating is not for story but the way it was handled..

So disappointed! The book was great....until it ended. I noted the word count and thought that it was a novella. Which I happily paid 99 cents for. Instead I got a preview of another book. Which also wouldn't be terrible, except the actual book isn't out! Ugh, what a disappointing waste.

I will always read reviews now that I've been cheated. Complete rip off! The story stops just as you get invested in the characters. Not a complete novel. Everyone who purchased expecting a complete book should be fully reimbursed. Do NOT buy this!

This story is a bit farfetched but enjoyable howeverthe fact that it is not a complete story but only an introduction is dishonest on the part of the author and barnes and noble nowhere does it tell you that when you buy the book i suggest we boycott this author and barnes and noble for a week this was really missjeading and just a money making scam
