This book is edgy, graphic and not for the faint of heart. I was very impressed with the character development, world building and of course, plotline. It's not often I read a book of this caliber, however when I do, it's highly appreciated. This is a book you're not going to want to put down until you've read the last page. Your mind will be going over what you read for awhile. I will be waiting for the next book and looking forward to reading more from this author. Thank you R. Moses! An excellent read:)

Disappointed! Although it is well written i did not like the authors attempt to make hell seem like a normal livable place where people choose to live and even fall in love. Definitely not the hell the bible talks about. I also do not like the cliff hanger ending!

enjoyed the mix of and poetic license of mythology. Names were familiar, yet vague. looked up a lot of the legends and that made the read even more enjoyable. Excellent book, and adventure.

Has Promise. The potential to be the great beginning to a must read series is here. However, it’s hard to look past the weak relationships created between characters and the random spots of missing information throughout the book. I really want to like Abira, I try the entire novel to empathize with her - but despite her wanting to protect the innocent of hell she felt like a shallow character and at most parts of the book she acted like the gullible train-wrecks we hope our children never become. It almost seemed at parts as well, that the author looked a word up in a thesaurus and used all the biggest options that popped up to describe things. It made the sentences thick and hard to get through at times. As I said before however, could definitely become a great story - it is in desperate need of a through editing however.

Interesting story line but the writing is tedious....pretentious....or maybe that is whar rhey call flowery? After 125 pages i just have to give up on it.....

As you look at the ratings for all my other books, they all have 5 stars. I am not a harsh critic, for who am I to criticize the work of others. Writing is not an easy task. I love all books that I have read. They grant me the liberty to travel into another realm. Shadow of Lilies was a great read for me, it grasped me from the very beginning. However I felt it took me too long to finish reading. I didn't find myself as enthused to wake up and continue reading as I usually am with other books. Maybe there is something wrong with me? The book has an admirable heroine Miss Lady Abira. She is strong willed and and protects the ones she holds dearest to her, and stands up for what is right. This is a character that I feel all women should aspire to be. So maybe the issue is me. I wanted love for Abira, and I did not get it as much as I hoped for. I now understand why the Author R. Moses paced the romantics between Abira and Sirin. However that's the part that I most look forward to in books when I read. I am very impatient, and what I want is love. Hard or soft in whichever way I can get it I want it. I do thank the Author. She managed to tame me, as I continued reading to the finish line. It was a great read from the realm of Hell she conjured up horrid grotesque creatures, but also beautiful ones lovely in their own way. I look forward to book two. Read, you will not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this book. I managed to read it on less than two days. The only issue I have is with spelling and grammar. So if you don't mind a few grammatical wrrors, this book is a qorthy read.

Well written, few typos. The story draws you into a new world. Hades is presented in a way you don't expect. The story presents new takes on old themes. I was sorry to see it end, and more sorry to see the next installment is not ready as of yet. I hope this series continues.
