This book reads more like poetry. The author, Francis Rico has a unique ability to express in the written word the mystery and beauty he has found in the course of his journey through life. His words float off the pages and into the mind and there they dance in a way that is both haunting yet sublime. I don't feel like I read the book but rather that He, Francis, was reading it or speaking it to me. I've never had that happen before.

The words are so gentle, as is Francis, but their meaning penetrate deeply into the heart and the mystery of our existence unfolds ever so softly. Francis' gentleness comes through the expressions of his book and demonstrate that he is a champion of the spirit, of the innate beneficence of each and everyone of us who walk through life. Oh, that we could all "see" as He does. In truth we can. He shows how in very specific ways but we must "get to work" to make it so.

The culmination of all his depth culminates in just these few words: "Pain is a condition of this existence, but suffering is optional." Letting go of our so called "truth" releases us from the chains of our own suffering. Therein lies "Deep Beauty." This book, is a friend!
