Overview

Peek-a-boo is a small dog with a big problem: she wants to be like the two other dogs in the house, each one that has a special job to do. But Chloe the cat likes to knock down Peek-a-boo's dreams until, one day, Peek-a-boo realizes that no one should ever tell her what she can or cannot do.

This story provides young readers with a light, fun read that carries a deeper moral. Parents can read it with their children to discuss the importance of believing in oneself and not listening to others.

In today's world of heavy technology and early exposure to the world, Pica can carry your child back to the basics of right vs. wrong, good vs. not so good.

A nice chapter book for younger readers (3rd grade). My daughter loved the story and is looking forward to another chapter in Pica's life. About 16 or so pages. It took my daughter two nights to read it. She liked the little dog's story but I liked the moral that it presented. A good, light-hearted read that opened the door for discussion with my daughter.
