Meet the Author

Shell Isenhoff is the pen name I write my Bible stories under. It's not so different from my real name, Michelle Isenhoff, under which I publish my mainstream children's novels. Though it's fun to add a little imagination to Bible stories, my real passion is clean, appropriate teen and tween novels aimed at a much wider audience.

Here's a little more about me: I became a teacher because I never outgrew children's literature. Then I tried my hand a children's novel - I was hooked! When I'm not teaching, writing, chauffeuring children, blogging or reading, I like gardening and taking road trips with my family (not necessarily at the same time).

So what do I write? Three words: ADVENTURE - I won't read a story that doesn't transport me to a new, exciting world. I won't write one, either. INNOCENCE - My target audiences range from 9 to 15. Kids. I won't market profanity or controversy. And SUBSTANCE - I prefer stories with some depth to them.
