    Meh

The plot was kind of interesting, and the world was similar enough to ours as to be relatable, but different enough not to be boring. That being said, I did not care for the characters much, and especially found the main female character to be obnoxiously vapid. When it made note that she actually was quite smart and thought things through (which happened several times), I just found her to be a Mary Sue.

Perhaps most frsutrating was that you could read half the book and still get the same story: everything happens to both main characters equally. One learns something? Next section is bound to be the other learning the same thing, with almost the same words (if it happens in a conversation).

    Excellent

1100 pages but still a very quick read. There is a lot of duplication as the story switches between the two avatars. But most of these duplicate sections are short -- just makes the reading faster as you can skim over it.

Story does bog down some what in the middle -- a little too much daily routine. Some spelling and grammar issues but not enough to interfer with the tale. A good editor could turn this into a 5-star novel.

    Terrible writing

The story is mediocre and the writing is awful. Didn't even bother finishing it.

    Boring and anticlimatic.

1000 pages of buildup for an epic battle of Light and Dark and when it finally comes.......ZZZZZ.

Amazing and a real soul searcher. Puts a new spin on the battle between light and darkness. This book is 1102 pages and follows the upbringing of the avatars of darkness and light all the way to their final battle. I found it interesting as it pretty much is two seperate stories enmeshed so superbly, you never really notice. It will give you a different perspective in what it means to balance your soul. A must read

Very inyeresting book. I felt it was also very well written. It kept both plots moving without losing either one.

    Well done

Very thoughtful and interesting story. Both min characters were likeable and engaging. Only downside of the book were how the similarities of the characters towards the beginning; flet like I was reading the same thin over again - felt forced.

Despite my one complaint, I couldn't put the book down.
    Very highly recommend!
