Title: A Spirited Season Author: Karen Cantwell, Misha Crews & Laura Lucas Published: 11-9-12 Publisher: CWC Publishing Pages: 121 Genre: Anthology ASIN: B00A4QIFQ Sub-Genre: Paranormal, Holiday Reviewer: DelAnne Reviewed For: NetGalley This anthology started off on a high note with Karen Cantwell's "A Christmas Peril". A subtle take on the classic A Christmas Carol. Don't fret because these short stories continue to lighten your spirit and make you smile to the very end with Misha Crews' "O Christmas Tree". A story that will bring a tear to your eye. These Christmas themed stories with a paranormal twist are just the ticket to bring holiday cheer to your day no matter the time of year it is read. As with all anthologies, I would love to see these stories fleshed out into full novels, or at least novellas so they would last longer. I loved Cantell's offerings, but found that even the author's I had never read before had the same type of humor in the style that drew me to Cantrell's Barbara Marr series in the first place. I will be looking for more from them both in the future. Take a chance on A Spirited Season and enjoy these Christmas tales with a paranormal twist.
