The reason being is her father is a raging alcoholic, and her mother struggles to make ends meet. At the age of 13, her father is sentenced to 20 years in state prison for taking the lives of two young girls in a car accident that involved him being intoxicated. Theresa is sent to stay with her Cousin Sylvia for the summer. During her stay, she gets caught in the wrath of her two cousin's drug addiction and almost dies because of it and leaves her scarred for life. Though she didn't physically die, she spiritually died feeling desolate and despondent. This story takes you through her amazing journey of recovery, discovery, healing, and restoraton. If you are someone who has been affected by an addiction, this is a story for you. It will change your life with the way you can relate to at least one of these characters and as you follow the main character on her journey where she sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
