This is my all-time favorite novel. Dickens' portrayal of redemption through love, selflessness, and courage is uplifting and timeless.

So often not read and claimed to, the richness of this volume is worth more read and never claimed as a prize of the intellectual mind. The truth of history so often forgot and glanced over is in wonderful and shocking detail here, a journey from Shooter's Hill to Paris one will not soon forget.
