Great Book - Fun and Entertaining!

Molly Jane Fisher is a nine-year-old detective, who loves animals and never backs down from a case. When she discovers two talking guinea pigs, however, she finds herself involved in a case much more difficult and complicated than her ordinary mysteries. Teddy and Pip, two funny, excitable, and lovable talking guinea pigs, turn to Molly for help in taking care of them while their owner, Amelia, is gone. But as Molly starts getting closer to her new friends, she discovers that there is something strange going on between the guinea pigs owner, Amelia, and their friend, Wally, who was supposed to be the one caring for them during Amelia's absence. It's up to Molly to uncover the mystery and save Teddy and Pip. I found this story to be funny, sweet, and very entertaining. The mystery drew me in as more clues and evidence surfaced throughout the story. I found myself trying to guess what turn the mystery would take next, but was still surprised in the end when it all came together. Throughout the story, Teddy and Pip provide plenty of warmth and humor, and Molly stays patient and dedicated to her case. This funny, engaging story would be great for children who love animals. Kids who have guinea pigs may just start watching their pets more closely, waiting for them to talk!

A Must Read for Children With Guinea Pig Pets!!!! A Total Gem!!!!!!!!

This is an amazingly funny, charming and engaging children's book. It is written in "classical English mystery" style, but for children and with a nine year old girl as a detective. The guinea pigs are hilarious, and adorable, and unlike any guinea pigs you have ever known, but if there ever was a contest for "the most guinea pig's behavior among guinea pigs" Pip and Teddy will win it hands down.

The story is beautifully and eloquently written. The characters brought to life so well, I could almost hear Pip perform his songs. Molly Jane, the nine year old detective, reminded me of Miss Marple. Well, much, much younger Miss Marple.

I think this is a fantastic children's book. I would especially recommend it for children who own several pets. For children who have guinea pig pets this book is a must, because it finally proves the obvious: Guinea Pigs are the best animals in the whole wide world and they CAN TALK, though they do not always choose to do so.

A Big Tale of Mystery For Two Little Pets

Teddy and Pip find themselves in an unfamiliar circumstance with loads of questions about how and why their life is being turned upset down. Luckily help finds them! The story line takes children through several twists and turns before Teddy and Pip find some answers. The two guinea pigs are so funny. Images of them during times of excitement easily come to mind. Any child that loves furry little animals will love this book. I highly recommend it.
