My thoughts¿ A Taste of You is the debut novel from Author Sorc

    My thoughts…

A Taste of You is the debut novel from Author Sorcha Grace. I wasn't sure what to expect going into this one, but I'm glad I decided to give it a try.

Catherine. I liked Catherine aka Cat from the beginning. I felt she got dealt a bad hand in life before moving to Chicago and I could understand her reluctance to start a new relationship.

William. To be honest I didn't really care for him in the beginning. I thought he was a bit of a bully. He's blunt, arrogant, and ran hot and cold most of the book. He's also a  billionaire so yep you guessed it he's a man who's used to getting his way and doesn't take no for an answer. I sort of had a love / hate relationship with him, but by the end I was able to see exactly why he acted certain ways and I came to love him. Besides he's tall, dark and sexy as all get out. With his stormy grey eyes that tend to change color depending on his mood. *swoon*

The chemistry between Cat & William was electric from the beginning. It was like they were drawn together and meant for each other even though it was a bumpy ride for them throughout the book. Sometimes the way he treated Cat seemed almost cruel. Thus one of the reasons I didn't care for him at first. Hot and cold I tell ya.

I enjoyed almost every aspect of this story, but here's what didn't work for me. William knew Catherine's dress, bra and shoe size after three brief encounters. Not so realistic. It's not a big deal, but I found it sort of odd. It didn't take away from the story in any way. I'm just big on stories being believable, realistic.

A Taste of You has sort of has a Pretty Woman vibe to it. Pretty Woman was actually mentioned within the book. It seemed at times that I was experiencing Déjà vu in one way or another.

Let me tell you about the sex scenes in this book. They were H-O-T x 100 and were very well written. I had to fan myself several times.

Overall I really enjoyed reading this one. It was a great read and it kept my attention throughout the entire story. I think Ms Grace did an excellent job writing it. I can honestly tell you that I will be reading more of her work in the future.  I'm definitely going to be patiently err… not so patiently be waiting for the release of the next book. I'm not sure what the name or release date for the next book will be, but I am so hoping it will be won't be too far into the future.

If I had to describe A Taste of You in one word it would be Delicious.

A Taste of You is an incredibly seductive and as addictive as some of the culinary treats described in the story. William and Catherine are so hot together they seem to combust on the pages. William is a sexy billionaire used to getting his way in all things and Catherine is strong woman with a troubled past in need to start over in a new city. Both of the main characters have baggage and we only scratch the surface on William’s issues in this book. These two seem perfect for each other if only they don’t let their own issues get in the way. I could not put the story down. Once Catherine and William met in the book I was drawn in and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I can’t wait for book two, and I am adding this author to my list of authors to watch.

Food, Sex, and a Good Love Story…What more could a woman want?
A Taste Of You has a strong story, and the characters developed nicely. Yes, it was another story about another “Oober-gorgeous-millionaire-male” with secrets to hide, and another damsel in need of rescuing by said “ooberness”. But, I really enjoyed it and had fun getting lost in the fantasy of William and Catherine’s story. The only thing that I have to say against it...I'm tired of these books being so short. I wish it were a "true novel" and not just a quick read.

With that said, I'm still eagerly awaiting the next book in the series to find out how William and Catherine’s story continues. It is definitely a book that I've described and suggested to my circle of teacher readers and (no surprise!) they are eager to read it for themselves.

I truly enjoyed reading this book…I would even be so bold as to describe it as “YUMMY”! ;)

Perfect for lovers of romance, photography and food.

Between culinary photo shoots, recipes from gourmet chefs and dishes sensually tasted as an erotic preliminary, sex and food will whet your appetite.

Well written, this love story is based on the game of cat and mouse.

The two protagonists hide secrets and lived a painful past. In coming to trust each other, they will try to get out of their own prison and find the will to live and love.

On the sappy side, William thinks that money can buy happiness and that by being rich, he is permit to act like a cad.
If you disregard his dual personality and Catherine's need to flog herself, the story is very enjoyable to read...

Personally, it gave me the urge to rob my bakery for fresh pain au chocolat and my greengrocer for grapes even if it is not yet the season.

Humor, dreams and eroticism: a good mix for spending a great evening reading.

    Entertaining.

    Deliciously, devinely decadent.

I'm always on the lookout for hot new romance authors worthy of recommendation, and with A Taste of You Sorcha Grace has won a place in my, well, good graces. With its mix of great food, a little fashion, and just enough of the sophisticated high life of Chicago, this story has all the tasty ingredients necessary for a recipe for romance. William is THE elite billionaire of Chicago society sought out for his power and influence in the circles of business and charity...and the women just want him for him. Catherine was once a successful sports photographer who gained fame in California for her photos of her husband, an up-and-coming surfer. But Cat's guilt over his death drove her far from the sun of Cali to the freezing cold of the Windy City. But things heat up when the two meet and feel an instant bond...but can they overcome their differences to make something lasting of their irresistible craving? This is the first of a series and it ends on a higher note than most of these serialized romances...but with an intriguing enough twist that makes the wait for the second due this Fall an anticipation too delicious to miss.

    Yeah, yeah...its like 50.

I have read the numerous reviews that gripe that books like this are just take offs of FSOG, but what I think people don't acknowledge is that just because FSOG came first doesn't mean it was BEST. FSOG, in my opinion of course, was a poorly written endeavor that was only widely popular because of its shock value and well-timed publicity. Other books like this one and the Bared to You series (which really does need to end, but that's a whole different review...) may have come later and have a FEW plot similarities, but actually offer good, cohesive writing in the mix as well. Just my opinion, but one might also keep in mind that FSOG is itself a fanfiction knock-off of another stellar piece of literature...Twilight. Meh.

Loved the book but did not like how abruptly it ends. Then you have to buy the next then wait for the third! I like when they are connected but felt like this was a gimmick to keep you purchasing books! I'd rather pay more and have the whole story told!

    Hmmm

Would love to know when the next book is coming out this is ridiculous, the first book was out in april this is november. I feel that this is a disgrace that this author has made us wait almost 8 months for the second book. This is a trilogy so it looks like we will get a book every year? Have NEVER had to wait this long for a series to release a second book. Hell im starting to wonder if there even is a second book or a third, the book was great but im ready to delete it and say the hell with the rest of this series and move on! If you want this book then i would wait until you see all 3 to purchase on your nook or you will be as frustrated along with me and everyone else waiting for the rest NO SERIES is worth this kind of a wait. I am VERY upset both the author and publishers they should be ashamed to make fans waot this long.
