As a parent and also an elementary and middle school educator, a friend (college professor) recommended this book to me -- and it is wonderful!! I just recently finished reading it and felt inclined to jot down some notes and useful tips along the way...and then starting applying some of the ideas while talking to teacher and parent friends...and all our children...about some new and better ways we can all approach the upcoming school year. We all feel more 'empowered' -- as Ms. Karres, the author, gives incredible insights and explanations as to what really happens in the communications processes at school -- and how both students, parents, and teachers can work --even in the smallest ways -- to really make our relationships more successful...and students feel better about themselves and their role in the whole picture. Ms. Karres gives clear sensible tips and guidelines so you don't feel like you're left hanging...this is a book I will keep close at hand and freely recommend. Pick up a copy...you won't be sorry! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
